The ThinkPad Carbon series has always been one of my favourites. It’s never a laptop I’ve considered buying, because it’s quite so expensive. This is an ultra-portable PC that seems ideal for business types who can either buy the thing on a company credit card, or write off part of the substantial cost as a business expense. That may seem unfair when you can spend more on a MacBook Pro, but this is really closer to a MacBook Air in terms of purpose, design and power. There’s nothing awry here bar from the high cost, though, and perhaps the smaller-than-average touchpad. The quality of the pad, as everything else here, is beyond reproach though.

When it comes to productivity and content creation tasks, this machine's performance results were fairly close to what one should expect from this class of machines. Some of its scores were near top of the pack, while others, especially gaming, were a middling showing. While you can run some lower end games and more casual titles, don't expect this machine to replace your dedicated gaming device. It's primarily a business class ultralight after all. In terms of thermals, the X1 Carbon stays relatively cool under normal conditions, and is even bearable to have on your lap under a full work load. When under that full load, the laptop is relatively quiet as well, with an unoffensive fan pitch. In short, you will not be disappointed if you opt for the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 for your next laptop for business, home or school. Its high quality build should provide for many years of use, and you are getting all this machine's extra features, such its Trackpoint, 1080p webcam, reasonably good port options (sans the missing nano SIM or microSD card slot) and its fantastic keyboard.

We beg to differ: The Dell is fantastic and less expensive, but the Lenovo's screen is half an inch bigger; it weighs a few grams less despite its MIL-STD 810H construction; and it has six ports instead of two. Unless you're looking for an ultra-performance gaming rig or workstation, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 is the best notebook you can buy.

Deze laptop valt me erg tegen. Hij voelt niet zo snel aan. Iets loopt niet lekker met deze laptop, alleen kan ik het niet plaatsen. Had verwacht dat deze wat soepeler zou werken. Hetgeen me helemaal stoort is, dat het apparaat super heet wordt links bovenin bij de esc toets/usb c lader. Heb het al terug gestuurd, maar nog steeds hetzelfde probleem. Werd me geadviseerd om het niet op mijn schoot of direct bureau te gebruiken, maar met een verhogen :-) Wist even niet wat ik er van moest denken. 20 jaar al laptops in gebruik. Zelf ook een "it'er" en dit advies vond ik wel apart.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.

In 2016 stond het bedrijf op de eerste plaats in de wereld wat betreft computerverkopen. Dit was in 2023 nog steeds het geval, met een wereldwijd marktaandeel van ongeveer 23%. Belangrijke productlijnen zijn Thinkpad, Legion en Ideapad.

In 2011 verwierf het een meerderheidsbelang in Medion AG, een Europese fabrikant van computerhardware. In 2014 werd Motorola Mobility gekocht, wat Lenovo een boost gaf op de smartphonemarkt.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i7-1260P:

Een CPU uit de Alder Lake familie voor het hogere middensegment, met 4 prestatie-kernen en 8 efficiënte kernen. Deze 28 W SoC is ontworpen voor gebruik in ultralichte laptops. De Core i7-1260P's prestatie-kernen zijn uitgerust met Hyper-Threading, voor een totaal van 16 threads. Deze 12e generatie CPU draait op 1,5 GHz tot 4,7 GHz en ondersteunt vPro-functies van het "Essentials"-niveau. Tot slot heeft de Core i7-1260P een ingebouwde 96 EU Iris Xe GPU, in tegenstelling tot bepaalde 11e generatie Tiger Lake-UP3-onderdelen.

Core i7-1270P heeft een TDP van 28 W en ondersteunt vPro-functies op "Enterprise"-niveau.
