Lenovo's ThinkPad T1g Gen 8 is de opvolger van de geliefde ThinkPad X1 Extreme en is een zeer capabele multimedia-laptop met krachtige hardware, een mat tandem OLED-aanraakscherm en misschien wel het beste toetsenbord dat Lenovo ooit in een ThinkPad heeft gestopt.

EN→NLAll in all, this laptop has been wonderful to use. I have most appreciated the parts and the reliability of this machine. Being able to plug in any device I may need without having to carry a dongle is peace of mind that I do not take for granted. It has ports to jump in and out of whatever they are solving, and it's portable enough to carry around from place to place (even though they're not going want to walk around holding this in their hand anytime soon).

EN→NLDon’t let the Lenovo ThinkPad T1g’s branding fool you. This is not a business laptop, and while it works as a portable workstation, it’s not that either. The ThinkPad T1g is best understood as a prosumer machine for people who need one laptop that can handle both demanding work applications, like video editing or 3D modeling software, and demanding entertainment like PC games. The T1g’s only real downside is not a trait of the laptop itself. It’s the competition. Asus’ ProArt P16 gets my nod over the T1g, as it can be had with similar hardware at a similar price and offers better overall GPU performance. The Dell XPS 16, Alienware Aurora 16, and Razer Blade 16 are also competitive on value. So, why choose the ThinkPad T1g?

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.
In 2016 stond het bedrijf op de eerste plaats in de wereld wat betreft computerverkopen. Dit was in 2023 nog steeds het geval, met een wereldwijd marktaandeel van ongeveer 23%. Belangrijke productlijnen zijn Thinkpad, Legion en Ideapad.
In 2011 verwierf het een meerderheidsbelang in Medion AG, een Europese fabrikant van computerhardware. In 2014 werd Motorola Mobility gekocht, wat Lenovo een boost gaf op de smartphonemarkt.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop: Een aankomende grafische kaart uit de Blackwell-familie voor laptops, die Team Green waarschijnlijk op CES 2025 zal presenteren. Aangezien de 4070 laptop 4.608 unified shaders (CUDA-kernen) heeft, zal de 5070 hoogstwaarschijnlijk meer dan 5.000 shaders hebben.

Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 9 285H: High-end mobiele processor gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur met 16 cores verdeeld over 3 clusters. De 6 snelle P-cores klokken tot 5,4 GHz. Er zijn ook 8 kleinere E-cores met maximaal 4,5 GHz en 2 kleine energiezuinige cores (zelfde architectuur) met maximaal 2,5 GHz. De SoC bevat een kleine NPU met 13 TOPS piekprestaties en ondersteunt vPro Enterprise.
Intel Panther Lake:
Ultra 7 366H: High-end 16-core SoC van de Panther Lake-familie en topmodel met 4 Xe3 GPU-kernen. Net als bij Lunar Lake biedt de ingebouwde NPU 5 50 TOPS en nu ondersteuning voor FP8. De CPU ondersteunt vPro beheerfuncties.
