Responstijd Scherm

De responstijden van het scherm tonen hoe snel het scherm in staat is om van één kleur naar de andere te veranderen. Trage responstijden kunnen aanleiding geven tot 'nabeelden' rond bewegende objecten of het scherm wazig maken (blur). Vooral spelers van snelle 3D-games hebben baat bij een scherm met snelle responstijden.

Dit betekent dat de gemeten responstijd slechter is dan het gemiddelde (23.9 ms) van alle geteste toestellen.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Om de schermhelderheid te verlagen schakelen sommige laptops het backlight erg snel aan en uit. Dit gebeurt aan een dergelijk hoge frequentie dat het niet zichtbaar is voor het menselijk oog. Als de frequentie te laag is kunnen personen met gevoelige ogen geïrriteerd geraken, hoofdpijn krijgen en zelfs flickering waarnemen.
Screen flickering / PWM niet waargenomen

Ter vergelijking: 52 % van alle geteste toestellen maakten geen gebruik van PWM om de schermhelderheid te verlagen. Als het wel werd gebruikt, werd een gemiddelde van 15366 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz waargenomen.

"Motorola levert opnieuw een prima mid-range smartphone af met zijn nieuwe Moto G, die weet te overtuigen met bijzonder goede basisfeatures." Deze zin was de conclusie van de Moto G van de derde generatie. Deze zin is ook direct van toepassing op de Moto G4. Het testmodel combineert goede hardware en solide prestaties, en heeft geen grote fouten. In vergelijking met zijn voorganger heeft de Moto G4 een snellere SoC, meer opslagruimte, een vergelijkbaar beeldscherm, en een lagere prijs. Als je een goedkope maar goede smartphone wilt, dan adviseren we om 159 EUR (~$174) te spenderen aan de Moto G4 Play.

De Lenovo Moto G4 Play is een uitgebalanceerd apparaat en biedt een middenklasse smartphone met een aantal sterke punten voor een relatief lage prijs.

De smartphone heeft een paar onvolkomenheden: de luidspreker is relatief stil en de camera's maken weinig indruk. Er is geen NFC ondersteuning en het beeld kan enkel op een TV weergegeven worden middels Chromecast. We missen ook de losse Micro-USB kabel.
