We take a closer look at the hardware and its performance advantages over the previous Intel and Nvidia generations.

EN→NL Archive.org versionWith a potent Intel quad-core processor and Nvidia's new GeForce GTX 880M graphics card, the Eurocom X3 has the gaming chops to satisfy even competitive gamers. The blend of features and performance is pretty good, though many gaming laptops are still missing key features for a truly intuitive Windows 8 experience, despite shipping with Windows 8.1 Pro. The glaringly bright display skews colors, but it can be toned down in the display settings. The lack of a touch screen is also acceptable, but the lack of proper gesture support can be problematic. All in all, the Eurocom X3 is a very good gaming laptop, but it's missing a few refinements that could make it great, and the Editors' Choice goes to the similarly equipped, but more affordable, MSI GT70 2PC Dominator.

EN→NL Archive.org versionThe Eurocom X3 prioritizes performance above all else, a quality that is certainly admirable in a gaming oriented device. With its Haswell processor, lightning fast SSD, 16GB of Ram and NVidia Kepler GPU the Eurocom X3 delivers on all fronts. Sure it's nice to have the latest and greatest technical specs, but users can easily cut out some of the fluff or tone down a few of the specs to create a far more cost friendly machine. There's a great deal here hidden in the Eurocom X3, but users are going to have to dig-in and find it for themselves.

Xtreme CrossFireX. Het grote 17,3 inch beeldscherm biedt voldoende ruimte voor serieuze prestaties. Met steeds beter wordende concurrenten van de hernieuwde Asus ROG serie en Alienware modellen in het achterhoofd, hebben we gekeken of Eurocom en z'n X7 Radeon hardware ons nog steeds kan overtuigen.

Eurocom:
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M: High-end grafische kaart uit de GeForce 700M serie gebaseerd op de Kepler architectuur.
AMD Radeon HD 8970M Crossfire: Twee HD 7970M grafische kaarten in Crossfire modus (wordt ook wel eens als HD 7970M CF aangeduid). Kan leiden aan micro stuttering.

Intel Core i7:
4930MX: Mobiele Haswell quad-core processor. In het tweede kwartaal van 2013 de snelste CPU met geünlockte multiplier.

Normaal hebben laptops met een 17 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht. Dit is redelijk zwaar voor een 15 inch laptops maar aanvaardbaar voor toestellen bedoeld voor stationair gebruik.
4.15 kg:
Dit gewicht is typisch voor desktopvervangers met 17 inch schermen en beperkte mobiliteit.
77%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
