The Dell XPS 15 is a well-rounded mainstream multimedia machine that will give you plenty of power while still being portable enough to carry around if needed. The design is attractive enough, and the machine is comfortable to use. We’re fans of the beautiful HD display; though it lacks a touchscreen, it doesn’t make Windows 8 any harder than necessary.

This 2012 generation of the Dell XPS 15 has a well-finished, upgraded chassis, good processing power, quality audio components, good handling of everyday tasks and a certain amount of gaming capability. All these things make this, in our opinion, a computer worth buying. With just a little more work on the screen and less noise the XPS 15 could easily have earned all five stars. So, Dell, you know what your mission is for 2013!

Commentaar

NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M: Verschillende modellen gebaseerd op verschillende chips uit de Fermi-generatie. De GT 630M is beschikbaar in GF108/GF106/GF166-varianten, maar allen zijn infeite hernoemde GeForce GT 540M of 555M GPU's. Er bestaat ook een GF117 variant, gebouwd op een 28nm proces voor gereduceerd stroomverbruik.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
