EN→NLOf course, it was all too good to be true. As it usually happens, thin and light notebooks that employ a lot of power are struggling to cool it down. And the Vostro 15 7500 was not an exception. Not only it did reach high enough external temperatures to sous vide cook a chicken, but it also struggled to cool the laptop down, when the load was no longer present.

EN→NLFrankly, we think that there should be more devices like this one. Such, that are not afraid to combine a sleek business look with powerful internals. The aluminum body is sturdy and looks stunning, but what is really concerning here is the insulation of the hardware from the rest of the chassis. In particular – the keyboard. If you are planning to do some heavy stuff on the Vostro 15 7510, you should keep in mind the fact that the middle of the keyboard becomes really warm. Thankfully, in more forgiving scenarios we had no issue, whatsoever. At the end of the day, the Vostro 15 7510 is a pretty solid device. We didn’t get any weird issues like with the IdeaPad 5 Pro (16″), yet it offers good performance, provided you are ready to get your fingers toasted. So if you want a powerful laptop, while it still looks like a respectable business machine, this is a very good alternative.

Dell: Dell is een Amerikaanse fabrikant (gevestigd in Texas) van computerhardware, opgericht in 1984 en is een van de grootste internationale fabrikanten, zowel qua marktaandeel als qua notebookmodellen. De productlijn omvat desktops, notebooks, opslagsystemen, monitors, servers, printers, consumentenelektronica en randapparatuur. Dell biedt laptops die geschikt zijn voor verschillende toepassingen, zoals zakelijke laptops, gaming laptops, ultra portables en werkstations. De zakelijke laptops uit de Latitude en Precision series van Dell zijn een optie voor professionele gebruikers en bedrijven.
In 2023 had Dell een marktaandeel van ongeveer 17% in de wereldwijde verkoop van pc's en stond daarmee op de derde plaats, na Lenovo en HP.
Voor gameliefhebbers is er Dell's Alienware merk voor gaming notebooks.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile:
Mid-range discrete grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de GTX 1650 voor desktops en dus de Turing-architectuur (TU117-chip in 12-nm-FFN) zonder ray-tracing en Tensor-cores.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Mobile:
Grafische kaart uit het middensegment voor laptops die gebruik maken van een Turing TU117 chip zonder raytracing en Tensor kernen. Moet iets sneller zijn dan een GTX 1650, maar is ook verkrijgbaar in verschillende varianten met een TGP variërend van 55 - 80 Watt (en twee pakketten).

Intel Comet Lake:
i7-10750H:
Een krachtige hexa-core processor ontworpen voor de dikkere laptops met ruimte voor betere thermiek. De Comet Lake-H-processor is vervaardigd op het third-gen 14 nm Intel-proces en is voorzien van de UHD Graphics 630 iGPU geklokt op 350 MHz tot 1.150 MHz. De CPU-kernen draaien op 2,6 GHz (basiskloksnelheid) met een boost tot 5 GHz en de waarschijnlijke all-core Boost-frequentie is 4,3 GHz. Hyper-Threading ondersteuning is ingeschakeld, waardoor twee threads gelijktijdig kunnen draaien op elke core.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i5-11400H:
Tiger Lake (H45-serie) gebaseerde high-end hexa-core SoC voor gaming laptops en werkstations. De zes CPU-kernen klokken met 2,7 - 4,5 GHz. De geïntegreerde UHD Graphics GPU biedt 32 kernen op maximaal 1,45 GHz. De chip is vervaardigd in het 10nm SuperFin (verbeterd 10nm) proces.
