EN→NLThe Dell Latitude 14 5440 is a nice surprise in its class. Curiously, the cooling of the laptop is very good and the optional Core i7-1355U can show even higher clocks compared to the more expensive Latitude 14 7440 that we have tested with the same CPU. In short and medium loads, you can enjoy around 4.0 GHz P-core clock which is a nice achievement for such a device. In addition, the fan isn’t as noisy as a jet fighter and the keyboard doesn’t feel too toasty to the touch when the CPU is pushed to its limits. The input devices are comfortable and there is no flex during typing – great! The 16:9 IPS display (BOE XYC05-NV14N4N (BOE0AFC) isn’t a top-tier unit but it gets the job done for normal work with its wide viewing angles and lack of PWM usage. Keep in mind that the sRGB coverage and the maximum brightness are low. The battery life with the optional 54Wh model is more than enough for a whole working day away from the charger – around 14 hours of Web browsing is a respectable result.

Dell: Dell is een Amerikaanse fabrikant (gevestigd in Texas) van computerhardware, opgericht in 1984 en is een van de grootste internationale fabrikanten, zowel qua marktaandeel als qua notebookmodellen. De productlijn omvat desktops, notebooks, opslagsystemen, monitors, servers, printers, consumentenelektronica en randapparatuur. Dell biedt laptops die geschikt zijn voor verschillende toepassingen, zoals zakelijke laptops, gaming laptops, ultra portables en werkstations. De zakelijke laptops uit de Latitude en Precision series van Dell zijn een optie voor professionele gebruikers en bedrijven.
In 2023 had Dell een marktaandeel van ongeveer 17% in de wereldwijde verkoop van pc's en stond daarmee op de derde plaats, na Lenovo en HP.
Voor gameliefhebbers is er Dell's Alienware merk voor gaming notebooks.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoC's op basis van de nieuwe Gen. 12-architectuur met 80 EU's (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). De kloksnelheid is afhankelijk van het processormodel. De Tiger Lake chips worden geproduceerd in het moderne 10nm+ proces bij Intel.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoC's op basis van de nieuwe Gen. 12-architectuur met 96 EU's (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). De kloksnelheid is afhankelijk van het processormodel. De Tiger Lake chips worden geproduceerd in het moderne 10nm+ proces bij Intel.

i5-1135G7:
Tiger Lake gebaseerde low power quad-core processor voor dunne en lichte laptops. Vervaardigd in een verbeterd 10nm proces bij Intel.
Intel Alder Lake-M:
Intel Raptor Lake-U:
i7-1355U: Op Alder Lake gebaseerde mobiele CPU met 2 prestatie-kernen en 8 efficiënte kernen. De prestatie-kernen bieden hyper-threading, wat leidt tot 12 threads die verwerkt kunnen worden. De CPU klokt van 1,2 tot 5 GHz. De TDP is gespecificeerd op 15 Watt.

Dit gewicht is typisch voor erg grote tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles met een 11-13 inch schermdiagonaal.
