De Asus Zenfone 5 (ZE620KL) is een goede smartphone voor een hele goede prijs. Absoluut een uitstekende keuze. Dat gezegd hebbende, valt de smartphone een beetje weg ten opzichte van de zware concurrentie zoals de Nokia 7 Plus, die vooral op softwaregebied en accuduur beter scoren. Voor z’n schappelijke prijs krijg je een prima camera en mooi scherm. De bouwkwaliteit is ook hoogwaardig, alleen moet je er wel mee leren leven dat het ontwerp puur kopieerwerk is.

Een ZenFone 5 kost €399 en is daarmee een toestel uit het middensegment. Voor die positie in de markt presteert dit toestel goed. Alles is wel 'oké' aan het toestel, het scherm, de prestaties en het uiterlijk. Dus wanneer je dit toestel koopt hoef je niet bang te zijn voor een verkeerde keuze. Wanneer we hem wegzetten tegen een toestel in dezelfde categorie komen we snel aan bij de Nokia 7 Plus en dat is dan meteen ook een geduchte concurrent. Vooral de accu van dit toestel gaat veel langer mee. De Asus Zenfone 5 zal denk ik vooral gekocht worden door de fans van het merk en misschien het design.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
