Performance-wise, it’s good enough for work and some casual gaming. However, the display itself is dim, and the colors are lacking in vibrancy, had limited viewing angles. The audio quality was rather average despite the Harman Kardon name. The display is one of a laptop’s most essential aspects, and it’s quite disappointing that the S15’s screen has several downsides to it. Still, if you’re looking for a sizeable laptop that has a unique color and has a slight weight to take around places, you might want to keep the ASUS VivoBook S15 in your choices.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Opvolger van de MX150 en nog altijd gebaseerd op dezelfde Pascal GP108-chip (vergelijkbaar met de GT 1030 voor desktops) maar met hogere kloksnelheden. Verkrijgbaar in twee versies, een normale 25 Watt-versie en een energiezuinige versie met een TDP van 10 Watt en verminderde prestaties. De 25 Watt-versie biedt o.a. een 21% hogere boost-kloksnelheid dan de oude MX150, met als gevolg een prestatiewienst van 5%.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i7-8565U:
Whiskey Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Kaby Lake, maar geproduceerd in een verder geoptimaliseerd 14nm++ proces). De vier cores zijn geklokt tussen 1.8 en 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading.
