EN→NL Archive.org versionASUS has definitely produced a very good device in the face of VivoBook S15 S530. First of all – it is very well built and looks stylish and super low profile. Its light weight compares even with some smaller devices. We loved how the base is lifted up when you open the lid. It definitely provides some comfort when typing. However, the GeForce MX150 liked it even more than us, since it has more room for breathing this way.

Archive.org versionDeze laptop doet wat ie moet doen, werkt prima, is robuust, bij zware toepassingen wil hij nog wel eens vol de ventilator aangooien maar dat is zelden. Touchpad is ook erg prettig, ik ben niet iemand van de touchpad maar deze gebruik ik toch veel. Accu duur is ook goed, ik heb nog niet geklokt, maar een uur of 8 schat ik zo in.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce MX130:
Mainstream grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de Maxwell-architectuur. Hernoemde GeForce 940MX.
NVIDIA GeForce MX150:
Pascal GP108-gebaseerde grafische kaart voor laptops en laptop-versie van de GeForce GT 1030 voor desktops. Biedt 384 shader-cores en meestal 2 GB GDDR5 met een 64-bit-geheugenbus. Gefabriceerd in 14nm.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2, 24 EU's) die je terugvindt in sommige CPU-modellen van de Kaby Lake-refresh (15-Watt ULV-serie). Technisch identiek aan de vorige Kaby Lake-GPU genaamd HD Graphics 620.

Energiezuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op de Kaby Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.6 - 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 - 1100 MHz. Het SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.
i5-8550U:
Zuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op Kaby-Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.8 tot 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 tot 1150 MHz. De SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.

Whiskey Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Kaby Lake, maar geproduceerd in een verder geoptimaliseerd 14nm++ proces). De vier cores zijn geklokt tussen 1.8 en 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading.

Gewoonlijk hebben subnotebooks, ultrabooks en redelijk lichte laptops met een 12-16 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht.
