The tradeoff here is that the TUF FX505DU is significantly more expensive, coming in at Php 71,995 for the configuration that we reviewed.

It is also worth noting that the audio quality is terrible as it lacks bass and the sound gets distorted when putting it at maximum volume. You should also watch out for its thermals given that it has three exhaust vents installed. Despite that, I like how it has a premium look and feel, as well as a little screen and keyboard flex, indicating that this device is very durable and well-built.

It’s no secret that getting a high-end laptop can cost you a lot of money. By this, we mean upwards of £1800. What the ASUS TUF Gaming Alliance FX505DV tries to do instead is to offer a solid gaming experience while at a price that will not be beyond the reach of the average consumer. This would’ve been a prime contender for our ‘Bang for Buck’ award, but we feel that this offers just enough in terms of performance and presentation to tip the scales into something a little more impressive! This laptop has style, performance, and certainly a brand name you can trust. Added together with the excellent CPU and GPU pairing, while this might be the first laptop I’ve encountered with a Ryzen processor, it’s a great product to kick things off and I’m certain it won’t be the last we see of them from ASUS.

Deze laptop heb ik gekocht voor mijn niveau 3 en 4 opleiding ICT, de laptop hebt een 120 HZ beeld en een RGB toetsenbord, deze 2 punten zijn voor mij pluspunten omdat ik laat doorwerk in de avond, het beeld blijft vloeiend en het toetsenbord is goed te zien, voor prestaties is de laptop uitstekend, de Ram geheugen kan zeker gelijk een upgrade gebruiken van 8 Gb naar 16 Gb voor zwaardere applicaties, de accu duur gaat voldoende lang mee voordat hij op de lader moet, als de laptop op de lader zit kan je gelijk ook merken aan de videokaart dat het een sterke videokaart is, veel games die ouder zijn dan 2018 kan je op medium of high 60 fps spellen. de bouw van de laptop is sterk, het hebt de keur "military grade certified toughness", ook hebt het en "Hypercool Technology" fans ingebouwd die als je het op performance mode zet, wel wat geluid maakt, geen herrie, die de laptop aardig koel houd tijdens het gebruik van zwaardere applicatie of games, voor het geluid maakt het gebruik van "Dts headphone X 7.1-channel surround sound", ik heb de laptop nu 3 weken en heb voor 1 week tijd gebruik gemaakt van oordopjes via de jack aansluiting maar nu werkt het niet meer, ik moet dit nog testen maar dit kan alvast een minpunt zijn, voor de rest ben ik erg blij met de laptop.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Mainstream grafische kaart gebaseerd op Nvidia's Pascal-architectuur en opvolger van de GeForce GTX 960M. Is gefabriceerd in een 14nm-proces bij Samsung en de technische specificaties zijn erg vergelijkbaar met de desktopversie.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile:
Mid-range discrete grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de GTX 1660 Ti voor desktops en dus de Turing-architectuur zonder ray-tracing en Tensor-cores. De prestaties van de Max-P-variant zouden vergelijkbaar moeten zijn met die van een oudere GTX 1070.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile:
Mid-range discrete grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de GTX 1650 voor desktops en dus de Turing-architectuur (TU117-chip in 12-nm-FFN) zonder ray-tracing en Tensor-cores.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile:
Mid-range tot high-end grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de Turing-architectuur met ray-tracing en 1920 shaders. Beschikt over verlaagde kloksnelheden ten opzichte van de vergelijkbaar genaamde desktop-variant.

AMD Picasso (Ryzen 3000 APU):
R5 3550H:
Quad-Core-APU voor laptops die gebruik maakt van Zen+ cores geklokt aan 2.2 tot 3.8 GHz en een Vega-GPU met 8 CU's geklokt aan max. 1300 MHz.
R7 3750H:
Quad-Core-APU voor laptops die gebruik maakt van Zen+ cores geklokt aan 2.3 tot 4 GHz en een Vega-GPU met 10 CU's geklokt aan max. 1400 MHz. De 3750H is de 35-Watt-versie van de 3700U met dezelfde specs, maar een hoger TDP voor betere prestaties onder aanhoudende belasting.
