Asus heeft zijn slanke ROG Zephyrus G16 gaming laptop een update gegeven. Voor de 2025 modellen zal de topversie een Arrow Lake processor en de nieuwe GeForce RTX 5090 bevatten. Het RAM blijft gesoldeerd, maar de maximale geheugencapaciteit is verdubbeld naar 64 GB.
Als u de slankste gaming notebook met de GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop wilt, hebt u op dit moment de keuze tussen de Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 en de Razer Blade 16. Maar de prestaties zijn niet alles. Maar de prestaties zijn niet alles.

EN→NLThe Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) is a generally lovely laptop, with a crisp OLED screen, gorgeous looks and a great port selection. However, its performance isn’t anywhere near as strong as its key rivals, and its battery life is especially disappointing, making it a harder sell than in previous years, especially for its high price. For instance, the Medion Erazer Beast 16 X1 Ultimate (RTX 5090) is only slightly more, and while it may sacrifice an OLED screen in favour of a Mini LED one and some level of portability and style, it comes with a lot more power, as good of a port selection, and much better battery life. It's more than capable of keeping up with AAA gaming as well as your daily work or school workflows. The simple design with Slash lighting on the lid looks good in casual and formal settings, too. Just be aware that the fans can get a bit whiny and parts ot the laptop get very hot to the touch.

EN→NLThe Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is one of the better laptops available today in the niche of premium lightweight formats with a large 16-inch display and solid multi-purpose performance capabilities for work, gaming and daily use. The 2025 refresh comes with more RAM and Blackwell GPUs and a price increase, but the Ultra 9 + RTX 5070Ti version reviewed here is arguably the better-value choice among the multitude of configuration options. This is Intel only, though; too bad there's no AMD variant with similar graphics capabilities.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop: De GeForce RTX 5090 Mobile maakt gebruik van de GB203-chip en gebruikt 10.496 shaders / CUDA-kernen van de maximale 10.752 die de chip heeft. Hierdoor lijkt de RTX 5090 Laptop meer op de RTX 5080 desktop variant (zelfde chip) dan de Desktop RTX 5090 met 20.760 cores en hogere kloksnelheden.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop: Een aankomende grafische kaart uit de Blackwell-familie voor laptops, die Team Green waarschijnlijk op CES 2025 zal presenteren. We nemen aan dat deze gebaseerd zal zijn op de GB205-chip, met 5.888 actieve unified shaders (CUDA-kernen).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop: Een snelle grafische kaart uit de Blackwell-familie voor laptops die is gebaseerd op de GB203-chip en gebruik maakt van 8.192 shaders en 16 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (256-bits grafische bus).

Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 9 285H: High-end mobiele processor gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur met 16 cores verdeeld over 3 clusters. De 6 snelle P-cores klokken tot 5,4 GHz. Er zijn ook 8 kleinere E-cores met maximaal 4,5 GHz en 2 kleine energiezuinige cores (zelfde architectuur) met maximaal 2,5 GHz. De SoC bevat een kleine NPU met 13 TOPS piekprestaties en ondersteunt vPro Enterprise.
