At the end of the day, if your work mostly requires an Internet browser, however you don’t want to spend a premium on an Ultrabook solely for the build and battery life, the ASUS Chromebook Flip will definitely match your requirement in this case. Otherwise, I see this as a niche product for those customers who know what they want and appreciate a well-built Chromebook.

Het uitgeven van 600 of zelfs 700 euro aan een Chromebook klinkt extreem, maar je krijgt hier zeker een fraai apparaat voor terug. De bouwkwaliteit is uitstekend, de Core m3 is in Chrome OS bijzonder vlot en het scherm past helemaal bij het prijspunt. Je wordt met de Flip 434 dan ook niet beperkt door de hardware als jij voor je werkzaamheden genoeg hebt aan een Chromebook. En dan heb je gewoon een prettige laptop waar weinig mis mee kan gaan. Kortom, een duurdere Chromebook is zo gek nog niet.

What else can I say? This Chromebook is impressive. We just sent back our review unit and I already miss it dearly. I loved the screen, the keyboard, the tiny bezels, the build and the speakers. I miss writing on it and working on it daily. And, if you like all the stuff I’ve said about it and are looking for the absolute best device you can buy for less than $600, this is it.

Ik vind deze Asus C434 een erg snelle laptop met een uitstekend scherm, mooi design en goede bouwkwaliteit. Ik kan er erg goed op werken en zou hem dus zeker aanraden. Voor een Chromebook is hij wel aan de dure kant (ik had een deal bij Mediamarkt voor 550 euro, maar nu is ie daar 650 euro). Ik merk echter wel in alles terug dat het een hoogwaardige laptop is. Het Chrome OS is even wennen, maar werkt lekker snel en zit goed in elkaar.

Fijne Chromebook; bouwkwaliteit is top (stevig, volledig uit alluminium), hij is heel stil (geen ventilatoren) en ligt prettig in de hand. Grootste frustratie; in de tablet modus rust mijn hand in de meest natuurlijke houding op de aan-/uitknop, waardoor ik hem soms per ongeluk uitschakel.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.

Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.

Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.

De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.

De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).
