Het uitgeven van 600 of zelfs 700 euro aan een Chromebook klinkt extreem, maar je krijgt hier zeker een fraai apparaat voor terug. De bouwkwaliteit is uitstekend, de Core m3 is in Chrome OS bijzonder vlot en het scherm past helemaal bij het prijspunt. Je wordt met de Flip 434 dan ook niet beperkt door de hardware als jij voor je werkzaamheden genoeg hebt aan een Chromebook. En dan heb je gewoon een prettige laptop waar weinig mis mee kan gaan. Kortom, een duurdere Chromebook is zo gek nog niet.

What else can I say? This Chromebook is impressive. We just sent back our review unit and I already miss it dearly. I loved the screen, the keyboard, the tiny bezels, the build and the speakers. I miss writing on it and working on it daily. And, if you like all the stuff I’ve said about it and are looking for the absolute best device you can buy for less than $600, this is it.

Just-OK trackpad aside, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434T is one of the best fancy Chromebooks around. Its screen and battery life are great, the aluminium shell has more than a touch of class and it’s handily portable. When you creep above £500, though, the bad bits of Chromebooks start to stand out. It can only run Android apps, not Windows ones, and it has more than its share of problems with those.

Intel UHD Graphics 615:

De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).

m3-8100Y: Extreem efficiënte ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) voor tablets en notebooks zonder ventilator, gebaseerd op de Amber Lake architectuur die in principe een Kaby Lake chip is, geproduceerd in het verbeterde 14nm+ proces (geen 14nm+++) met hogere kloksnelheden en 5 Watt TDP. Inclusief twee CPU-kernen geklokt op 1,1-3,4 GHz met Hyper Threading ondersteuning en een grafische adapter.
