All-in-all, the Xiaomi Mi Horizon Edition 14 is what you may call a newbie's perfect way to expand their horizon. You get some really good specifications for the price that it comes in. However, if you are wondering whether the laptop can take hours of hardcore gaming, the answer is no. Of course, if you want your laptop to pretty much blast off to Mars, go ahead with it. It has the Nvidia MX350 GPU which, although very efficient, is not what can run Far Cry 6 in Ultra settings. Wait, let me rephrase that, chances are that it won't run it at all. However, if you are considering this laptop, that is not your priority anyway right? I have reviewed the Mi Horizon Edition 14 8GB RAM and 512GB SATA SSD variant and it works seamlessly, in all honesty. In addition, the Intel Core i5 10th Gen chipset pushes your laptop to achieve pretty much anything you throw at it, work-related, of course. As long as you don't do anything too intensive and cause its thermals to skyrocket, it is good to go. If you ask me, in case you want a 14-inch sleek beast that screams style and business, this is totally it for you.

Absolutely. The Mi Notebook 14 e-Learning Edition is compact and light, its 1080p is bright and colourful, it’s fast, and even has an excellent keyboard and trackpad. And somehow, the laptop is affordable and accessible at Rs 36,999. After using the laptop for a week, I am happy with the Mi Notebook 14’s performance. If you are buying a laptop for your kid and cost is important for you, the Mi Notebook 14 e-Learning Edition can be a great option. It is a good value for money, provided the machine is designed to deliver basic laptop needs.

The battery life is outstanding, runs as much as 10 hours. The combination of the Intel Core i5-10210U with the discrete Nvidia Geforce MX 250 is great for a price of Rs 49,999 not to mention you get a faster 512 GB SSD storage instead of a mechanical HDD.

De Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Pro wil een waardige mid-ranger zijn met een premium volledig aluminium chassis, een goed 2.5K 16:10 beeldscherm, en een fatsoenlijke spec sheet. Hoewel de Mi NoteBook Pro de klus voor het grootste deel zeker klaart, onthult een grondig onderzoek dat Xiaomi niet in staat is om de maximaal mogelijke prestaties uit de Core i7-11370H te halen voor de ₹73.999 (US$993) vraagprijs.

 

Commentaar

Xiaomi:

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

NVIDIA GeForce MX110:

Instap grafische kaart voor laptops die kan gebruikt worden in combinatie met snel GDDR5 of DDR3 grafisch geheugen. Hernoemde GeForce 920MX.

NVIDIA GeForce MX350: Opvolger van de MX250 en waarschijnlijk een omgedoopte GeForce GTX 1050 op basis van de Pascal GP107 chip met 640 shaders en een 128 Bit geheugenbus voor GDDR5.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:

Opvolger van de MX150 en nog altijd gebaseerd op dezelfde Pascal GP108-chip (vergelijkbaar met de GT 1030 voor desktops) maar met hogere kloksnelheden. Verkrijgbaar in twee versies, een normale 25 Watt-versie en een energiezuinige versie met een TDP van 10 Watt en verminderde prestaties. De 25 Watt-versie biedt o.a. een 21% hogere boost-kloksnelheid dan de oude MX150, met als gevolg een prestatiewienst van 5%.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:

Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoC's op basis van de nieuwe Gen. 12-architectuur met 96 EU's (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). De kloksnelheid is afhankelijk van het processormodel. De Tiger Lake chips worden geproduceerd in het moderne 10nm+ proces bij Intel.

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:

i5-8250U:

Energiezuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op de Kaby Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.6 - 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 - 1100 MHz. Het SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.

Intel Comet Lake:

i7-10510U:

Comet Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Whiskey Lake en nog altijd geproduceerd in 14nm++). De CPU-cores kunnen klokken tussen 1.8 en 4.9 GHz (alle 4 cores 4.3 GHz max.) met HyperThreading (8 threads). De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt DDR4-2666 en met cTDP up/down kunnen de prestaties door de fabrikant aangepast worden (10 - 25 Watt mogelijk, 15 Watt standaard).

i5-10210U:

Intel Tiger Lake:

i7-11370H:

Tiger Lake (H35-serie) gebaseerde high-end quad-core SoC voor dunne en lichte gaming laptops en werkstations. De vier CPU-kernen klokken met 3 - 3,3 GHz basisklok (28 - 35 W TDP) en tot 4,8 GHz Boost klok. De geïntegreerde G7 GPU biedt 96 kernen op 400 - 1350 MHz.

1.35 kg:

Dit gewicht is typisch voor erg grote tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles met een 11-13 inch schermdiagonaal.

2.189 kg:

Gewoonlijk hebben subnotebooks, ultrabooks en redelijk lichte laptops met een 12-16 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht.

78.66%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
