I feel like, for $449.99, this is a great budget option for anyone who needs a device for modern-day use, such as scrolling through socials, browsing the internet, and streaming content, without having to stress about battery life. I have definitely enjoyed my time with the Moto G Power 5G, and I look forward to turning to this device whenever I need a dependable, long-lasting phone. Canadians can purchase the G Power direct from Motorola for $449.99. At the time of writing, no Canadian carriers had the 2026 G Power available. However, Freedom Mobile still sells the 2025 variant, so it may eventually pick up the 2026 version.

The Moto G Power (2026) is a bit of a mixed bag, and not the kind where the good parts easily make up for the bad. There's a lot to like about Motorola's approach to design here - the subdued Pantone colors look classy, and the textured eco-leather back gives the phone some personality (even if it's also a magnet for lint and pocket debris). We also appreciate Motorola going the extra mile with durability - IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H compliance are reassuring at this price, and they make the G Power feel more "ready for life" than most budget contenders.

The Moto G Power 2026 is the perfect example of "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." The phone is virtually identical to its predecessor, save for a tougher display, slightly larger battery, and a nicer back texture. However, it uses the same exact processor, mostly the same underwhelming cameras, and ditches wireless charging, making it a confusing "upgrade."

As with every phone review we do here, I think whether or not you should buy this phone depends on what you want out of a phone. Having said that, if you’re reading this review, or if you’re looking at reviews for this type of device, then chances are good you’re already looking at phones that won’t cost a lot. In that case, I think this phone is certainly worth considering. I think it’s worth weighing out whether or not you want a slightly bigger display, with a better resolution, and a slightly better camera. If those things don’t really matter to you, then I think the Moto G Play 2026 or the Moto G 2026 is a better value. You save at minimum $100, and you’ll get a similar experience.

I wanted more from the $300 Moto G Power. It's still a good phone for the price, even though I'm unconvinced by some of its changes. For instance, Qi wireless charging on the 2024 and 2025 editions was excellent, providing more options for using your phone. In 2026, the lack of wireless charging is a notable omission, especially if you're coming from the 2024 model. The Moto G Power's long battery life is where the phone truly shines. It easily powers the big screen, which is great if you prioritize video streaming, browsing websites and using its speakers to play music. I wish the Moto G Power had a slightly more powerful processor, especially compared to its more affordable Moto G siblings.

After reviewing and testing both phones, I'd say the Moto G Play (2026) is the better phone for most people. Mainly it is because of its significantly better battery life. If you’re buying a phone for an elderly user, a child, or as a backup device, the Moto G Play makes more sense. The Moto G (2026) comes with only one major benefit, and that's the charging speed. That said, I wouldn't say that trumps longer battery life, especially considering the hours the Moto G Play can last.

n a vacuum, the Moto G Power (2026) would be a perfectly fine choice for anyone looking for a lower-cost phone that lasts a long time on a charge. But the Power isn't the only budget phone that does that — it's not even the only Moto G phone that fits that description. Given that the Moto G Power costs more than the standard Moto G and Moto G Play, you would think that it would have to last a lot longer than those phones or bring something unique to the mix to justify the higher price. But it falls short on both counts. I like the Moto G series as a good option for phone buyers on a budget, but I think Motorola does a poor job making the different models distinct from one another. If Motorola's looking to thin out the herd a little bit, the Moto G Power doesn't really offer anything you can't get from the Moto G while costing more for the same benefits.

At $300, the Moto G Power is a very affordable phone. Out of the three Moto G series phones in 2026, this one makes the most sense as it has a 1080p display and 128GB of storage, while the others compromise on that. Performance on it is also decent and the light software helps with that. The list of upgrades compared to the previous model, however, is short and we are particularly sad to see an LCD screen for yet another year, instead of an upgrade to OLED. The colors are just not as vibrant and pleasant on an LCD display.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Dimensity 6300: De CPU heeft in totaal acht kernen, die verdeeld zijn over twee clusters. De ene heeft twee ARM Cortex-A76 prestatie-kernen met elk tot 2,4 GHz, terwijl de andere zes ARM Cortex-A55 energiebesparende kernen heeft met elk tot 2,0 GHz. LPDDR4x RAM met 2.133 MHz kan worden gebruikt als RAM en UFS 2.2 wordt ondersteund als intern geheugen. De Dimensity 6300 lijkt erg op de oude Dimensity 6080.
