Het is een geweldige laptop. Ik gebruik graag deze laptop die zijn beloftes waarmaakt. Ik heb de laptop nu ongeveer 4 weken in gebruik en ben hem vanaf het eerste moment gaan waarderen als een snelle, betrouwbare en fijne computer. De bouwkwaliteit, toetsenbord, touchpad en beeldscherm zijn allemaal prima in orde zoals je eigenlijk wel mag verwachten van een Lenovo laptop in deze prijsklasse. Tijdens dagelijks gebruik is de laptop volledig stil, alleen bij zware programma's hoor je zacht de ventilatoren draaien. Samenvattend kan ik zeggen dat de laptop top is. Windows on Arm is ook fijn om te gebruiken en de meeste gebruikers zullen geen problemen ondervinden vanwege een goed presterende PRISM x86/x64 emulator,

The Yoga Slim 7x Gen 9 is a thin and portable machine. It feels amazingly responsive for daily tasks thanks to the high clocks of the Snapdragon processor and the fast SAMSUNG PM9C1a SSD. Because of the capable cooling with a dual-fan design, the comfort under load is on point. The keyboard doesn’t get hot during heavy loads and the fans are also quiet. Neat! The keyboard with its long key travel is for the typists out there and the large touchpad is accurate. That’s a laptop with a Qualcomm SoC and yes, the upgradability isn’t among its advantages. You can change the battery and the SSD, that’s all. The removal of the bottom plate seems easy which is handy when you want to clean the internals.

That's impressive value and Lenovo deserves credit for not gouging buyers for extra memory and storage. Compare those prices to Apple's M3 MacBook Air – arguably the Yoga Slim 7x' most obvious competitor – which starts at £915 ex VAT but leaps to an eye-watering £1,415 ex-VAT if you want a 1TB SSD and 16GB of RAM.

The picture-perfect 600-nit HDR OLED display and rich sound system are a joy to use. Add the Yoga Slim 7x’s good looks and ergonomics and 19-hour battery life and the $1,200 (or less) laptop is a proper MacBook-killer. The largest concern when testing the Slim 7x was software compatibility issues since the Snapdragon X Elite processor uses a different architecture than Intel and AMD processors. While I didn’t run into any Arm-related compatibility issues apart from gaming, it’s possible you might run across a piece of older or more complicated software that can’t translate the functions to work beyond a x86 environment.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7X is a pretty fantastic laptop, all things considered. With a starting price of $1,140 and the unit I am using coming in at $1,425, it really ticks all the boxes that I would look at in this price point. It offers solid performance across the board, beating many of Apple's computers in several benchmarks. It handles mid to light gaming fairly capably, though it won't play most AAA titles that require anticheats until Microsoft fixes that issue. However, outside of that, I really have no complaints about this laptop.So, if you're looking for a lightweight, well-built Windows on Arm laptop with solid power, then the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7X is a fantastic choice for you. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7X is the part of the second-generation of Snapdragon-powered laptops. Packing either the Snapdragon X2 Plus or Elite SoC, you'll find plenty of power to get you through the day. With all-day battery life, an OLED screen on every model, and USB4 40Gb/s ports, this laptop has everything you need to handle whatever life throws at it.

Yes. And honestly, that’s not a sentence I expected to write about a Windows on ARM laptop this year. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 is the first Windows laptop in a long time that I’d recommend without a mile-long list of caveats. Starting at $1,099 and with the review configuration at $1,699, this is one of the best values in the ultraportable space right now. You’re getting an OLED display, a quality keyboard, all-day (or in my case, multi-day) battery life, a Snapdragon X2 Elite chip that finally delivers on what Qualcomm promised back in 2024, and a build quality that, while not quite MacBook Air territory, is still very good. Is it perfect? No. The bottom panel feels a little less rigid than I’d like. The keyboard deck has a touch of flex. The trackpad still isn’t quite as good as Apple’s. And there’s no headphone jack, which in 2026 still feels like an unforced error. But none of that is a dealbreaker. These are nitpicks, not red flags. If you’re a writer, a journalist, a student, a content creator, or anyone who spends most of their day in a browser, in Office, in Slack, and in a handful of creative apps, this is your laptop. The OLED is gorgeous.

The glaring weakness of Snapdragon-powered laptops right now is gaming and graphics performance. It's a real issue, and I won't downplay it. My counter, though, would be to point out that many midrange productivity laptops in this category wouldn't be a good fit for regular gaming, either. For the student, office worker, or creative, the Yoga Slim 7x and the Snapdragon X2 Elite dominate the competition in the ways that actually matter: general performance and battery life. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x, as tested, performs like x86-based systems much more expensive, making the price of this laptop feel too good to be true. The discounted $1,599 model with the high-end Snapdragon X2 Elite processor and 2.8K OLED display is the sweet spot. It's the complete package available at a price point people can actually afford, and it's my default Windows laptop recommendation going forward. Lenovo's Yoga Slim 7x is the Snapdragon X2 Elite laptop that might convert longtime Intel and AMD users. It brings the perks of Windows on Arm to a classic Yoga Slim form factor, and the price point is compelling for what you get.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 is a great all-around laptop with few flaws, so it's easy to say you should buy it if you just want an excellent device. The only drawback to buying Snapdragon right now is that Intel does still have better graphics, although I'd argue that if you were focused on graphics-intensive loads like gaming or video editing, you're probably buying something beefier anyway. Also, Intel isn't really competing when it comes to NPUs, focusing on graphics performance for on-device AI instead. One other thing to note about the Slim 7x is that it's not too pricey. We just saw Microsoft's Surface devices get dramatic price increases due to RAM shortages, and with a specced out Slim 7x coming in at $1,599, I don't think you can beat it.

With its Snapdragon X2 Elite CPU and ample 32GB of RAM, the Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 excels as a general-purpose laptop, and it will run all day and into the night without needing to recharge. I like the solid and compact, all-metal design and the two OLED display options. Just be sure to compare pricing between Lenovo and Best Buy to find the best deal.

The use of a Snapdragon X2 Elite SoC pushes the Yoga Slim 7x (Gen 11) into the realm of remarkable efficiency and performance. You might have a personal issue with Windows on ARM, but for my workflow, it's no problem at all. Combine this power and efficiency with a high-end build quality, premium features like Human Presence Detection, quad speakers, 9.2MP camera, and OLED display, and you have a lot of PC for the asking price. It's not perfect — the glossy display finish can be annoying and the FHD+ model's 60Hz refresh rate is a drag — but these are fairly easy to remedy with a $60 upgrade to a brighter 2.8K display at 120Hz. The Slim 7x (Gen 11) is a laptop I can see fitting in perfectly with students, home business pros, and casual users who simply want a laptop for around $1,199 (even less when it's on sale) that feels like it should cost a lot more.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 is a good computer, but it’s in a troubling position. It’s fairly expensive, and that price seems to be built on the premise the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-88-100 chip inside sets it above the pack. While there are occasional glimmers of great performance from the chip, there are as many cases where it simply doesn’t keep up, and there will be cases where it won’t work at all. Top that all off with battery life that’s just on par with the competition generally, and the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 simply doesn’t stand out too well. It’s nicely built, has a quality display, and fine speakers, but so do many of its competitors. And with the latest batch of Intel chips offering some stunning graphics performance and efficiency, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x Gen 11 isn’t quite a winner. That’s true of our configuration, anyway. Folks after a slick machine with a great display can get fair value by opting for the lower-tier chip and upper-tier display in Lenovo’s configurator.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.

In 2016 stond het bedrijf op de eerste plaats in de wereld wat betreft computerverkopen. Dit was in 2023 nog steeds het geval, met een wereldwijd marktaandeel van ongeveer 23%. Belangrijke productlijnen zijn Thinkpad, Legion en Ideapad.

In 2011 verwierf het een meerderheidsbelang in Medion AG, een Europese fabrikant van computerhardware. In 2014 werd Motorola Mobility gekocht, wat Lenovo een boost gaf op de smartphonemarkt.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 3.8 TFLOPS: Een geïntegreerde grafische adapter waar verschillende Snapdragon X Elite en X Plus processors over beschikken. De Adreno heeft geen SUHD 4320p monitorondersteuning en is wat prestaties betreft niet veel sneller dan de verouderende 96 EU Intel Iris Xe iGPU.

Qualcomm X2-85: Snelle geïntegreerde grafische kaart in de langzamere Snapdragon X2 Elite SoC's met een kloksnelheid tot 1700 MHz.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X:

SD X Elite X1E-78-100: Een systeem-op-een-chip met ARM-architectuur voor gebruik in Windows-laptops. De X1E-78-100 is het langzaamste lid van de Snapdragon X Elite productfamilie, vanaf mei 2024; als zodanig heeft het 12 Oryon CPU-kernen (8 P-cores en 4 E-cores) die op niet meer dan 3,4 GHz draaien en een 3,8 TFLOPS Adreno GPU. Een 45 TOPS Hexagon NPU, een indrukwekkend snelle LPDDR5x-8448 geheugencontroller, USB 4.0 ondersteuning, TB 4 ondersteuning en PCIe 4 ondersteuning zijn inbegrepen om het geheel zoeter te maken.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X2:

X2E-80-100: De X2 Elite X2E-80-100 is de langzaamste variant van de X2 notebook SoC's voor lancering in september 2025 en biedt 12 van de 18 CPU-kernen verdeeld over 6 primaire kernen met maximaal 4,7 GHz (4,4 dual-core, 4 GHz alle kernen) en 6 prestatiekernen met maximaal 3,4 GHz. Samen heeft het CPU-gedeelte 34 MB cachegeheugen. De SoC bevat ook een zwakkere X2-85 GPU met 1,7 GHz, een NPU met maximaal 80 TOPS (INT8), LPDDR5x-9523 geheugencontroller met 128 bits en 152 GB/s bandbreedte en de Spectra ISP voor dubbele camera's tot 36 MP.
