Nieuwe revisie. Lenovo heeft de ThinkPad T480s uitgerust met een nieuwe behuizing en verkleint daarmee de afstand tot de ThinkPad X1 Carbon. Natuurlijk is Intels nieuwste quad-core CPU ook aanwezig. We hebben een van de eerste systemen met het nieuwe WQHD IPS paneel getest.

It's a pity that you have to go rather well beyond the entry-level price to get more than 128GB of storage, and further still if you need integrated mobile broadband. Touch-screen support is only available in one off-the-shelf configuration too. The T480s is highly configurable, but of course every tweak will add to the overall cost.

It's clearly more of a rugged design than other ThinkPads, and it offers a different feature set. For example, the ThinkPad T480s offers similar features in a slimmer body, and the X1 Carbon is meant to be super thin and light.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2, 24 EU's) die je terugvindt in sommige CPU-modellen van de Kaby Lake-refresh (15-Watt ULV-serie). Technisch identiek aan de vorige Kaby Lake-GPU genaamd HD Graphics 620.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i5-8250U:
Energiezuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op de Kaby Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.6 - 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 - 1100 MHz. Het SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.
