The Lenovo Thinkbook 13x Gen 4 is a highly impressive laptop with few shortcomings. This is a mind-blowingly solid light and thin machine. Our device with a Core Ultra 9 185H isn’t going to top any benchmark charts but the CPU performance is still good because the frequencies remain decent even in longer stress. In this scenario, the keyboard doesn’t get excessively hot and the fans aren’t noisy. The comfort under max processor loads is adequate.What about the upgrade options? Well, you can replace the SSD. The port selection impresses with its three Thunderbolt 4s but the lack of Type-A connectors could be a no-go for some people.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x G4 IMH is a nice-looking ultraportable laptop with a high-quality, compact, and stylish metal body that offers its potential owner many strong points. It is equipped with productive hardware, a high-quality IPS display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and can work for a full working day without recharging. Additional useful features include a fingerprint scanner, an infrared camera for owner identification, and a high-quality audio system. There is only one complaint about the technical part: a modest set of connectors. The main problem with the laptop is its price. There are competitors with similar characteristics and OLED screens that are cheaper.

Intel Arc 8-Core: Geïntegreerde grafische kaart gebaseerd op de Xe LPG-architectuur (vergelijkbaar met de speciale Arc GPU's, maar met de nadruk op efficiëntie). Biedt alle 8 Xe cores (128 Xe vector engines) en 8 ray tracing units.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Ultra 9 185H: Een top-of-the-line Meteor Lake-chip die in december 2023 zijn debuut maakte. Deze Core Ultra-processor van de 1e generatie vervangt de Core-chips van de 13e generatie; hij beschikt over 16 kernen (6 + 8 + 2) en 22 threads. De Performance-kernen, waarvan er 6 zijn, draaien op maximaal 5,1 GHz, terwijl de Efficient-kernen, waarvan er 10 zijn (8 hoofdkernen plus 2 extra in het Low Power Island) op maximaal 3,8 GHz draaien. De 8-core Arc GPU, net uit de oven, doet dienst als geïntegreerde grafische adapter - deze draait op maximaal 2,35 GHz - en er is nog een heleboel andere gloednieuwe technologieën beschikbaar, zoals de geïntegreerde AI Boost NPU met twee Gen 3 engines voor hardwarematige AI-werklastversnelling. Het "basis"stroomverbruik van deze laptopprocessor is 45 W, terwijl het Turbo stroomverbruik niet boven de 115 W mag komen.
