It excels as a gaming laptop, a workstation and a productivity machine thanks to a powerful CPU/GPU combination, excellent display, and a high-quality keyboard. The long-running battery life puts every other laptop with gaming pretensions to shame. That Lenovo has managed to package all that in a machine that’s lighter than a 16in MacBook Pro, and barely any larger, is nothing short of miraculous.

EN→NLIt's a complex matter, grading a gaming laptop that has openly made some compromises in order to shed some weight and keep things slim. On the one hand, the Legion Slim 7i is a success, with a profile that makes it miles more portable than many options on the market. The display is great, you get solid power and don't need to buy a suitcase just to move it around in. That said, the downside is that you do get slightly less power than most comparably expensive laptops manage, so you're paying a bit of a premium for the slimline build. We think that'll mean it's a bit of a niche proposition, but for those wanting a capable gaming laptop that's also genuinely portable, this is certainly a worthy new contender.

EN→NLAll in all, I’m glad Lenovo put more effort into the Legion Slim 7 series, updating them to modern 16:10 screen options, a multitude of modern hardware configurations, and a larger battery. They kind of neglected this niche of premium all-purpose thin-and-lights in recent years, and I’m happy that’s not the case anymore. From what we know so far, the 2022 Legion Slim 7 models are expected in stores around May-June this year, with prices starting at 1500-1600 USD in North America. The Intel + Nvidia models will demand a premium over the same-tier AMD configurations, but future discounts might level the field later in the year. We’ll know more about these once we get to review them properly, so stay around for our updates. Een op Alder-Lake gebaseerde mobiele processor met 6 prestatiekernen en 8 efficiënte kernen. De prestatiekernen bieden hyper-threading, waardoor 20 threads kunnen worden verwerkt. De processor werkt op frequenties van 1,7 tot 4,7 GHz en ondersteunt vPro.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.
