De ideaPad Pro 5 16 G9 doet het allemaal wanneer deze is geconfigureerd met de optie discrete GPU. Het nadeel is echter een luidruchtiger en veel warmer systeem dan veel andere ultradunne multimedia-alternatieven.

EN→NLThe Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 16" is an excellent all-around machine if you need a workstation laptop that can have some fun, too. It won't blow your hair back like the company's Legion lineup or an Alienware gaming laptop. Still, it's more than capable of meeting your work and play needs if you're in the market for a general-purpose laptop.

It delivers potent CPU and GPU performance, an attractive OLED display, an enjoyable keyboard, and lots of connectivity at a reasonable MSRP of $1,499.99. It’s a decent value and even a bit of a steal when discounted. That’s not to say it’s perfect. The IdeaPad didn’t dazzle in our battery life test, and its touchpad is underwhelming. Nor is it worth buying a Costco membership just to get this laptop, despite Costco's doubling (to two years) the warranty for most computer purchases.

EN→NLThe Lenovo IdeaPad 5i 16 Gen 9 is an unusual amalgamation of attributes, with components you wouldn't expect to see in a laptop of this size and weight. It's equally at home playing the latest games, watching movies, and editing video as it is working spreadsheets or writing a novel. It's got the power to be a gaming PC, but is not obtrusively a gaming device, and is sleek and light enough to haul around without it becoming a burden. The tradeoff is that if you actually put all that power to use, you'd better be plugged in, because while it may have the guts of a gaming laptop, it doesn't have the beefy battery necessary to play much more than a single round of Helldivers 2, and I wouldn't trust it not to die on me during the middle of a particularly long DOTA 2 match.

EN→NLEven with our high-end specs, the IdeaPad Pro 5i keeps its promised relatively long-lasting battery life despite the increased power consumption of a discrete Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU and 16-inch 2K OLED display panel. Which should make it one of my favorite laptops. I love a good combination of power and efficiency, especially if it meets expectations. And yet, it’s the small details that trip up the IdeaPad Pro. From a grainy IR webcam, tinny audio, mushy keyboard, and boring design, there’s much to find lacking with this Lenovo laptop. While none of these faults are enough to tank the IdeaPad completely, they equate to a disappointing package.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU:
Grafische kaart uit het middensegment voor laptops gebaseerd op de Ada Lovelace-architectuur. Biedt 6 GB GDDR6 (96 bit) en is configureerbaar met een TGP van 35 - 115 W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

Ultra 9 185H: Een top-of-the-line Meteor Lake-chip die in december 2023 zijn debuut maakte. Deze Core Ultra-processor van de 1e generatie vervangt de Core-chips van de 13e generatie; hij beschikt over 16 kernen (6 + 8 + 2) en 22 threads. De Performance-kernen, waarvan er 6 zijn, draaien op maximaal 5,1 GHz, terwijl de Efficient-kernen, waarvan er 10 zijn (8 hoofdkernen plus 2 extra in het Low Power Island) op maximaal 3,8 GHz draaien. De 8-core Arc GPU, net uit de oven, doet dienst als geïntegreerde grafische adapter - deze draait op maximaal 2,35 GHz - en er is nog een heleboel andere gloednieuwe technologieën beschikbaar, zoals de geïntegreerde AI Boost NPU met twee Gen 3 engines voor hardwarematige AI-werklastversnelling. Het "basis"stroomverbruik van deze laptopprocessor is 45 W, terwijl het Turbo stroomverbruik niet boven de 115 W mag komen.
