EN→NLThe 2024 LG gram Pro 17 suffers a huge reversal of fortune. This former Editor’s Choice winner has fallen to the rear of the pack. LG’s decision to stick with the RTX 3050 is the root of the problem. Last year, before the Intel Core Ultra series debuted, the RTX 3050 more than doubled performance over Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics. But the launch of Arc graphics brought an integrated upgrade that reduces the RTX 3050’s advantage. The result is a $500 upgrade that’s hardly an upgrade at all. LG’s mistake is worsened by the fact that most competitors, like the Dell XPS 17 and Apple MacBook Pro 16 M3, have received a graphics upgrade since then. In a strange twist of fate, the Intel Core Ultra also hurts the gram Pro 17’s relative processor performance.

Intel Arc 8-Core: Geïntegreerde grafische kaart gebaseerd op de Xe LPG-architectuur (vergelijkbaar met de speciale Arc GPU's, maar met de nadruk op efficiëntie). Biedt alle 8 Xe cores (128 Xe vector engines) en 8 ray tracing units.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Ultra 7 155H: Een high-end Meteor Lake-chip die in december 2023 zijn debuut maakte. Deze Core Ultra-processor van de 1e generatie vervangt de Core-chips van de 13e generatie; hij beschikt over 16 kernen (6 + 8 + 2) en 22 threads. De Performance-kernen, waarvan er 6 zijn, draaien op maximaal 4,8 GHz, terwijl de Efficient-kernen, waarvan er 10 zijn (8 hoofdkernen plus 2 extra in het Low Power Island) op maximaal 3,8 GHz draaien. De geïntegreerde AI Boost NPU biedt twee Gen 3 engines voor hardware AI werklastversnelling. Het "minimaal verzekerde" stroomverbruik van deze laptopprocessor is 28 W, terwijl het Turbo-verbruik binnen de 115 W zou moeten blijven.
