Terugkijkend naar de twee weken waar ik de LG Gram heb gebruikt tijdens de lessen kan ik zeggen dat de LG Gram geslaagd is. Het vervoer van de laptop is echt top, door het gewicht en de dikte past de laptop goed in mijn tas. Ook zijn de vele aansluitingen een voordeel. Qua gebruiksgemak is het snelle opstarten, de lage geluidsproductie en de grootte van het beeldscherm echt voordelen. De grootste nadelen zijn het wiebelige scherm en de prijs.

Ben je op zoek naar een laptop met een relatief groot scherm, maar wel een laag gewicht? Dan is de LG Gram zeker een interessante laptop. Wel doet de net iets te flexibele behuizing voor mij een beetje af aan de kwaliteitsbeleving. Het is een compromis dat je moet maken voor dit lage gewicht. Daar krijg je wel een heel bruikbaar apparaat voor terug, want de accuduur is echt uitstekend.

Met de Gram 14 (14Z90P) doet LG zijn intrede als laptopfabrikant op de Nederlandse markt. Het is met 999 gram een erg lichte laptop, die bovendien een zeer lange accuduur heeft, een van de langste die we tot nu toe hebben gemeten. De behuizing is voldoende stevig, de werkomgeving is prettig en er zitten ruim voldoende aansluitingen op het apparaat. Bedenk wel dat de Gram 14 niet is gericht op maximale systeemprestaties, dus voor zware contentcreation-taken kun je beter een andere laptop overwegen. Het scherm heeft een fijne verhouding, maar mist een goede afstelling.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoC's op basis van de nieuwe Gen. 12-architectuur met 96 EU's (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). De kloksnelheid is afhankelijk van het processormodel. De Tiger Lake chips worden geproduceerd in het moderne 10nm+ proces bij Intel.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

LG Electronics is de op twee na grootste fabrikant van huishoudelijke apparaten ter wereld. Als fabrikant van notebooks werd LG pas in 2005 bekend bij een breder publiek op de Duitstalige markt. Na een paar jaar trok LG zich grotendeels terug uit de laptopsector. Het productassortiment omvat OLED, LED/LCD en plasma TV's, thuisbioscoopsystemen, Blu-ray spelers en audio- en videospelers.
