A couple of weeks ago, Huawei launched a new member on its Y series of smartphones, the Huawei Y7p. It packs a 6.39-inch display with a 1560 x 720 resolution, 4,000mAh battery, a hole-punch display, and a Kirin 710F processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

If the lack of GMS doesn’t deter you from getting the device, then go right ahead and cop the Y7p as it’s still a pretty good device. Although, if you’re uncertain in dealing with all that no GMS issue, you may want to consider other smartphones such as the Realme 5 and the Honor 20 Lite, that are in the same price range as the Huawei Y7p.

The biggest hurdle with the Y7p is its lack of access to GMS. Thre are ways around it thanks to Huawei’s App Gallery and the eventual workarounds that’ll pop up once the phone is in circulation, but it’s still an annoying hurdle that some customers will have to endure.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

6.39": Er bestaan maar weinig smartphones met een groter scherm.

Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.
