Een 5500mAh-batterij en snel opladen ondersteunen een opmerkelijk sterk uithoudingsvermogen voor het flip-segment. Reviews roemen de heldere schermen, verbeterde camera's en algehele prestaties van het toestel, terwijl ze ook de gewichtsverdeling en het doosachtige gevoel noemen. De verkrijgbaarheid is momenteel beperkt buiten China en Honor heeft zijn software-updatebeleid of duurzaamheidsmaatregelen niet verduidelijkt. EN→NLThe Honor Magic V Flip 2 has gotten almost everything right - catchy and durable design with impressive protection against the elements, superb screens, powerful hardware, properly good cameras, and reasonably long battery life with fast charging. Among the noteworthy features of this V Flip 2 are its design, bright screens, and impressive in-sensor zoom on the main camera. The things we did not like on the V Flip 2 - the lack of Widevine L1 DRM for high-res video streaming, the limited availability, and the overall hardware is not as thin and sleek as the Galaxy Z Flip7, and the design is not as sophisticated as the Motorola Razr's. If you live in China and you are shopping for a compact foldable - this Honor Magic V Flip 2 should be on your shortlist, most definitely! But if you live elsewhere, we do not think it's worth the hassle of importing it from China, there are equally good alternatives with absurdly long software support.

The GPU is the Adreno 750, ensuring smooth gaming and multitasking. Besides this, the device is paired with a generous 12GB or 16GB of RAM with storage ranging from 256GB to 1TB. As far as the software end is concerned, the V Flip 2 runs on the latest Android 15 with Honor’s MagicOS 9 on top. However, Honor has not confirmed its software update policy. As for the build quality, the phone weighs 204g and offers IP58/IP59 rating that protects it from dust and high-pressure water jets.

If the Honor Magic V Flip 2 launches globally and if it's priced competitively (let's say around the price of the Chinese version after direct conversion), then the answer will definitely be "yes." The phone comes with great screens (the brightest in the flip segment and with minimal crease), a powerful chipset, decent cameras, and the best battery life in the segment, coupled with very fast charging. If you don't fancy the sparkly Jimmy Choo edition, the regular version is much more understated. A global version of the Magic V Flip 2 could endanger Samsung's flip phone hegemony, so fingers crossed Honor decides to launch the phone internationally.

Honor has managed to equip the Flip2 with the only 200MP main camera in the compact foldable category, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens. This is a massive leap from the earlier version and puts it on par with traditional flagship bar-style phones. Thanks to its foldable form, the main camera also doubles as one of the best selfie shooters you can get today.Next is endurance.

Qualcomm Adreno 750:
Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets die is geïntegreerd in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Qualcomm claimt dat hij 25% sneller is dan de Adreno 7340 in de Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 en uit eerste benchmarks blijkt dat de GPU de Apple A17 Pro iGPU kan verslaan.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

SD 8 Gen 3: High-end SoC voor smartphones die eind 2022 werd geïntroduceerd met een snelle primaire kern gebaseerd op een ARM Cortex-X3-architectuur geklokt op maximaal 3,2 GHz. Twee andere prestatiegerichte kernen zijn gebaseerd op de A715 en ondersteunen ook alleen 64-bits toepassingen. De twee extra A710-kernen ondersteunen ook 32 bit-toepassingen, net als de energiebesparende Cortex-A510-kernen. Naast de processorkernen bevat de SoC een WiFi 7 modem, een Hexagon DSP (voor AI-versnelling) en een Spectra ISP. De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt snel LPDDR5x-geheugen tot 4.200 MHz. 5G is opgenomen in de chip met de Snapdragon X70 modem.
