The HP Pavilion dm3 1005AX sells for Rs. 44,990 plus taxes. That is expensive when you compare it with one of its competitors, the Acer Timeline 3810TZ, which sells for as low as Rs. 32,000. The Dell Inspiron 13z, which we thought was one of the best 13-inch laptops under Rs. 40,000, no longer appears on Dell's website. The Vostro V13's price has also been bumped up to Rs. 44,000 now, making it unworthy of purchase. The MSI X350 has a similar price tag like the dm3, but it too has a touchpad issue.

The HP Pavilion DM3—1005AX belongs to the ULV laptop category, which means that it is powered by an ultra-low voltage processor, has a slim design, is light in weight and hence very convenient to carry. While these traits are typical of ULV laptops, the DM3 is one of best you’ll find in this segment, mainly because it looks sexy, performs well and its build quality is simply superb.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330: Lager geklokte Radeon 4530 met een stroomverbruik van 7 Watt (volgens AMD). Ondersteund DirectX 10.1 en Avivo HD voor HD video versnelling.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
