The Acer Aspire 5, for example, is still one of the best laptops you can get for $500, with better performance per dollar and an even better port selection. (Its keyboard is a bit worse, enough so that I'd personally spend the extra money on HP's offering if you do a lot of typing.) You could also go for a Chromebook like the HP Chromebook X360, which has longer battery life and a touch screen for less money, or the ThinkPad Chromebook C13, which is an extremely high-end laptop for the same price as the Pavilion, without the performance bloat that often comes with Windows. Of course, if you can stand to spend a bit more, the MacBook Air is still the best laptop you can buy right now, and it's still rather affordable at under $1,000.

Al lange tijd was ik op zoek naar een nieuwe betaalbare laptop. Doel was om weer alle muziek software te kunnen draaien dus vooral een multicore CPU was voor mij belangrijk. Toen deze Pavilion 15 in de aanbieding kwam bij bol.com was het tijd om toe te slaan!

EN→NLThe HP Pavilion 15 (15-eh3000) is an unpretentious device that offers good performance for casual everyday tasks or normal office usage like editing documents or video calls. The refreshed Zen 3 CPUs are still powerful enough for such work and if your laptop has dual-channel memory, you can play some light games such as CS:GO or Dota 2 after work. The processor can sustain decent clocks under any kind of load and the temperatures are on the low side thanks to the cooling with two heat pipes and one fan. The upgradability is decent – you get two SODDIMs for DDR4 memory which is a rare find in this price category. It’s a bit disappointing that the maximum amount of RAM is just 16GB of memory. The single M.2 slot is compatible with Gen 4 SSDs but their speed will be limited to the Gen 3 standard.

HP: Het Amerikaanse bedrijf werd opgericht in 1939 en is een belangrijke server- en printerfabrikant en een van de toonaangevende IT-bedrijven ter wereld. Tot 2015 heette het bedrijf Hewlett-Packard Company. Na een splitsing werd de computerdivisie omgedoopt tot HP Inc.
In 2023 had HP een geschat marktaandeel van 22% van de wereldwijde pc-verkoop, waarmee het nummer 2 werd na Lenovo.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

AMD Renoir (Ryzen 4000 APU):
R5 4500U: Mobiele Hexy-Core APU met behulp van zes Zen 2 kernen geklokt op 2,3 tot 4 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 6 CU's geklokt op maximaal 1500 MHz. De CPU ondersteunt geen SMT / Hyperthreading.
R7 4700U: Mobiele Octa-Core APU met Zen 2 kernen geklokt op 2 tot 4 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 7 CU's geklokt op maximaal 1600 MHz. Vergeleken met de snellere 4800U biedt de 4700U een iets lagere boost kloksnelheid en ondersteunt geen SMT / Hyperthreading.
AMD Lucienne (Zen 2, Ryzen 5000):
R5 5500U:
Mobiele APU met zes kernen die gebruik maakt van Zen 2 kernen geklokt op 2,1 tot 4 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 7 kernen geklokt op maximaal 1800 MHz. Vergelijkbaar met de oude Ryzen 5 4500U.
R7 5700U:
Mobiele Octa-Core APU met Zen 2 cores geklokt op 1,8 tot 4,3 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 8 CU's geklokt op maximaal 1900 MHz.
AMD Cezanne (Zen 3, Ryzen 5000):
R7 7730U: Een op Zen 3 gebaseerde octa-core APU voor laptops die draait op 2 GHz tot 4,5 GHz en voorzien is van de Vega 8 iGPU (8 CU's geklokt op maximaal 2.000 MHz). Vernieuwing van de 2022 Ryzen 7 5825U met dezelfde specificaties.
R5 7530U: Mobiele zeskernige APU met Zen 3-kernen geklokt op 2 tot 4,5 GHz en een Vega grafische adapter met 7 CU's geklokt op maximaal 2 GHz.

Dit gewicht is typisch voor erg grote tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles met een 11-13 inch schermdiagonaal.
1.78 kg:
Gewoonlijk hebben subnotebooks, ultrabooks en redelijk lichte laptops met een 12-16 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht.
76%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
