De oudere Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1 kan de betere deal zijn als de processorprestaties van het grootste belang zijn. Anders is de nieuwere Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 de efficiëntere machine.

De Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is nu overal verkrijgbaar en vervangt de Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1 van vorig jaar. Hoewel er een handvol veranderingen zijn, is de grootste waarschijnlijk de overstap van een Core Ultra-H CPU naar een Core Ultra-V CPU, die van invloed is op de algehele prestaties.

In termen van ruwe CPU-prestaties is de Core Ultra 7 155H in de Inspiron van vorig jaar meer dan 1,5x sneller dan de Core Ultra 7 258V in de nieuwere Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 als het gaat om multi-threaded belastingen. Het verschil kan behoorlijk groot zijn voor power users die op de snellere processor vertrouwen.

In termen van ruwe GPU-prestaties is het tegenovergestelde waar, aangezien de Arc 140V 1,3x tot 1,5x sneller kan zijn dan de Arc 8 tijdens het gamen. Hij is niet alleen sneller, maar ook aanzienlijk energiezuiniger voor betere prestaties per watt, lagere kerntemperaturen en stiller ventilatorgeluid. Gebruikers die baat kunnen hebben bij een snellere GPU zullen daarom wellicht de voorkeur geven aan de nieuwere Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 boven de oudere Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1.
