The Crosscall Core-Z5 smartphone from the French maker of durable phones is primarily intended for users who need devices that are resistant to shocks and drops and that can perform in extreme conditions.The Core-Z5 is also the brand’s first 5G phone, and it finds itself in our premium price segment ($600 to $799). When it comes to image quality from the single rear camera, however, the Core-Z5 still has far to go before it can compete with other phones in this segment. The camera, in general, is capable of capturing basic correct images in standard outdoor conditions, where the device is most likely to be used. In our testing, the Core-X5’s photos and videos turned out better than those taken with the Action-X5, a Crosscall model we evaluated previously, but the Core-Z5’s image quality was severely limited because of the lack of an ultra-wide camera module, which affected the device’s zoom and overall score. The lack of a tele module on the Core-Z5, a feature that is commonly found on devices in this price range, also hindered the device’s camera performance.

Crosscall:

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Qualcomm Adreno 506:

Qualcomm Adreno 610:

Geïntegreerde (in de Snapdragon 665) grafische kaart gebaseerd op de Adreno 600-architectuur. De prestaties van de GPU liggen tussen die van de Adreno 510 en 512/612 en dus in de lagere mid-range. Biedt ondersteuning voor Direct X11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.

Deze grafische kaarten voor notebooks zijn niet bruikbaar voor games. Als ze al games kunnen draaien, dan doen ze dat met grafische afwijkingen en heel lage framesnelheid. Voor gamers zijn deze chips ongeschikt! Kantoor en internet taken zijn, daarentegen, geen probleem voor deze GPUs.

Tragere mainstream octa-core ARM Cortex-A53-SoC geklokt aan max. 1.8 GHz en met Adreno 506 GPU, een LPDDR3 single-channel-geheugencontroller en een X9 LTE-modem (Cat. 7 300 / 150 Mbps).

SD 665:

Snelle mid-range ARM-SoC met 8 CPU Kryo 260-cores (vier snelle Cortex-A73-cores aan 2 GHz in een cluster en twee energiezuinige Cortex-A53-cores aan 1.8 GHz) en een redelijk trage Adreno 610-GPU. Gefabriceerd in een 11-nm LPP-proces.
