The Chuwi MiniBook is surprisingly a well-balanced and versatile netbook with its respectable system performance, bright 1080p touchscreen, and selection of ports. The unorthodox keyboard layout and twitchy mouse button will take some getting used to.

After all, for $500, the starting price of the Core m3 configuration with 8 GB RAM, you could probably get a more powerful laptop that’s more comfortable to type on. You won’t, however, be able to find a laptop of that price that you can drop in a small bag or big purse, definitely not one that can outperform even cheaper notebooks running on Intel Celerons and Pentiums.

If mobility is your number one concern, getting used to the cramped keyboard and less-than-perfect mouse replacement won’t be a waste of your time. That said, it may be tough to come to terms with the price. Considering the power that’s packed into its tiny frame, this computer isn’t overpriced. It just feels like it should cost less than it does, given the small size. Given the lower price of other Chuwi computers like the excellent 14.1-inch Lapbook, the price feels even more like an anomaly.

Chuwi:
De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Intel Gemini Lake:
Celeron J4125:
Laag vermogen quad-core SoC uit de Gemini Lake serie voor goedkope mini PC's. Draait met klokken tussen 2 - 2.7 GHz en integreert een DirectX 12-compatibele grafische adapter. De TDP is gespecificeerd op 10 Watt.
Intel Amber Lake:
m3-8100Y: Extreem efficiënte ULV-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) voor tablets en notebooks zonder ventilator, gebaseerd op de Amber Lake architectuur die in principe een Kaby Lake chip is, geproduceerd in het verbeterde 14nm+ proces (geen 14nm+++) met hogere kloksnelheden en 5 Watt TDP. Inclusief twee CPU-kernen geklokt op 1,1-3,4 GHz met Hyper Threading ondersteuning en een grafische adapter.
Intel Jasper Lake:
Celeron N5100:
Energiezuinige quad-core SoC uit de Jasper Lake serie voor goedkope notebooks. Draait met kloksnelheden tussen 1,1 - 2,8 GHz en integreert een DirectX 12 capabele grafische adapter met 24 EU's en tot 800 MHz. De CPU-kernen zijn kleiner en trager dan in de Core CPU's (bv. Ice Lake), maar vervaardigd in hetzelfde 10nm-procedé.
Intel Alder Lake-N:
N100: Op Alder-Lake-N gebaseerde mobiele CPU met 4 efficiënte kernen (Gracemont) met 1 - 3,4 GHz. De TDP is gespecificeerd op slechts 6 Watt.
