Als een van de weinige 15,6-inch laptops die een AMD Zen 3 Ryzen 9 CPU koppelt aan een Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, is de ZenBook Pro 15 OLED in staat om meer prestaties te bieden dan de meeste andere ultradunne multimedia-laptops die er zijn. We hadden echter liever een oudere GTX 1660 Ti optie gezien.

And while the RTX 3050 Ti is no beast, it is still great for 4K video editing, and playing pretty much all current AAA titles at 1080p. At the end of the day, the ZenBook Pro 15 OLED (UM535) is one solid machine. One of its direct competitors is Dell’s XPS 15 9510, which is significantly more expensive and has an inferior cooling solution.

EN→NLThis 15-inch laptop wows with its speedy, high-resolution OLED display, but then doesn’t offer the graphics needed by the type of users that would most benefit from it—namely, gamers and content creators. With the Intel Core i7-12700H, it’s halfway to being a suitable content creation convertible, but you are stuck with integrated Intel graphics, which puts a ceiling on its media-editing capabilities. Plus, despite the cool, deep blue aluminum chassis, we aren’t wild about the chassis or keyboard. Finally, the 720p webcam feels antiquated at this point. Better convertibles are readily available at this size and price, including the HP Spectre x360 16 and Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 Gen 7.

Goede kwaliteit laptop, goed geluid en uitstekend scherm met leuke features die het gemak van een tablet combineert met de gebruikerservaring van een laptop. Ideaal voor mensen die regelmatig schakelen tussen laptopapplicaties en tablet, voor bijvoorbeeld beroepsdoeleinden.

De laptop wordt echt ontzettend heet. Te gebruiken als tablet, maar zwaar voor op schoot. Er zitten meerdere puntjes bij de meegeleverde pen, echt fijn in gebruik. Wel jammer dat je die dan ook weer moet opladen en niet kunt opbergen in een apart bakje/randje van de laptop.

EN→NLThe Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) runs really quickly, considering its form factor. We see almost no implications derived from the small volume inside its chassis. The main reason for that, by the way, is the ErgoLift mechanism, and the quite large cooling capacity. Speaking of which, the Intel Arc A370M GPU is no match for the dual-heat pipe cooling solution. However, it is no match for the RTX 3050 too, especially in games. Whether it’s because of the suboptimal driver support, or this is just how much the hardware can do, we don’t know. What we know, is that ASUS Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502)’s display has a high resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and blazingly quick pixel response times. They are paired with a 120Hz refresh rate, which results in an incredibly smooth viewing experience. Its full sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage mean that you are going to look at a super attractive image. Moreover, its color accuracy is good-enough for professional work. One thing that is not so great, however, is the presence of PWM. Again, “MyASUS” takes care of that with its “Flicker-Free Dimming” function. In addition to that, you get a long battery life. The 96Wh battery will get you through more than 12 hours of Web browsing, or about 11 hours of video playback on a single charge. Furthermore, you can choose from three performance presets, which do have an impact on performance, noise, and battery longevity. Naturally, noise is directly attached to comfort. This notebook is indeed, really comfortable. Its keyboard is clicky, and has long key travel, while the touchpad is super smooth and accurate. While the device comes with two Thunderbolt 4 connectors, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, and a MicroSD card reader, its HDMI port is the 18Gbps unit, which ties it with the standard HDMI 2.0. Not in last place, there is the soldered memory problem. Well, it works as intended, but it can’t be upgraded. On the bright side, you can find one M.2 PCIe x4 slot for storage. We are also happy with the build quality of the product, its IR face recognition scanner, and of course – the stylus work. Ultimately, the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED (UP6502) has its downsides, but it was really exciting using it, and we are confident that it will satisfy its target user base.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU:
Grafische kaart voor gaminglaptops uit het middensegment, gebaseerd op de Ampere GA107-chip.
Intel A370M: De Intel Arc A370M is een speciale mobiele grafische kaart op instapniveau, gebaseerd op de Xe HPG microarchitectuur. De kaart heeft 8 kernen (128 ALU's), 8 ray tracing-eenheden en een basiskern van 1550 MHz. De TGP is gespecificeerd tussen 35 en 50 Watt.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoC's op basis van de nieuwe Gen. 12-architectuur met 96 EU's (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). De kloksnelheid is afhankelijk van het processormodel. De Tiger Lake chips worden geproduceerd in het moderne 10nm+ proces bij Intel.

R9 5900HX:
Mobiele Octa-Core APU met Zen 3-kernen geklokt op 3,3 tot 4,6 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 8 CU's geklokt op maximaal 2100 MHz.
R7 5800H:
Mobiele Octa-Core APU met Zen 3 cores geklokt op 3,2 tot 4,4 GHz en een Vega grafische kaart met 8 CU's geklokt op maximaal 2000 MHz.
Intel Alder Lake-S:
i7-12700H:
Een op Alder-Lake gebaseerde mobiele processor met 6 prestatiekernen en 8 efficiënte kernen. De prestatiekernen bieden hyper-threading, waardoor 20 threads kunnen worden verwerkt. De processor werkt op frequenties van 1,7 tot 4,7 GHz en ondersteunt vPro.
