The ROG Strix G16 has a lot to offer, as it should for the asking price. It might be notably cheaper than its bigger brother, but its starting price of R50,000 is still a lot of money. If you want the high-end specs, that price will climb to R78,000. But it shouldn’t be a surprise that a high-end gaming laptop like this costs a lot of money. It houses some of the most performant chips on the market, a decent (if not the best you can get) high-refresh-rate IPS display, and features many quality-of-life features (like the toolless bottom tray) that help to justify its price. Whether it’s ‘worth it’ is relative, but it’s at least something to consider.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop: Een snelle grafische kaart uit de Blackwell-familie voor laptops die is gebaseerd op de GB203-chip en gebruik maakt van 8.192 shaders en 16 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (256-bits grafische bus).
Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).

Ultra 9 275HX: Mobiele high-end CPU voor gaming notebooks gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur. Biedt 24 cores, bestaande uit 8 snelle cores met een kloksnelheid tot 5,4 GHz en 16 kleinere efficiënte cores met een kloksnelheid tot 4,6 GHz. De CPU heeft toegang tot 40 MB L2 cache en 36 MB L3 cache en heeft een TDP van 55 watt. De SoC bevat een kleine speciale NPU genaamd AI Boost met 13 TOPS (Int8) en ondersteunt optioneel vPro Essentials.
