There’s no 5G, although in this price segment, you can find alternatives that support 5G networks. However, this might not be important for everyone. The test model was running on Android 13, but an update to Android 14 with the new HyperOS will be released soon. Other than that, everything is great! To be objective, I’ll list other devices that you might want to consider when choosing a new phone in this price category. These could include: Honor Magic5 Lite 5G, Moto G84 5G, Moto G54, POCO X5 5G, Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, realme 11 5G, Infinix Note 30 Pro, and others.

It is hard to outline anything particularly or catastrophically wrong with the Poco M6 Pro since it really is a solid budget device. If we still had to express some wishes, a better chipset would probably be up there. While the Helio G99 is not necessarily strapped for power, it features compromises like 4G connectivity and 1080p video capture. Other than that, we weren't particularly impressed with the Poco M6 Pro's camera capabilities either, but it's not a dealbreaker. The same goes for the omission of HyperOS and the latest Android 14, both of which Xiaomi has promised to deliver as soon as possible, whatever that means. On the flip side, we enjoyed the 120Hz AMOLED display on the Poco M6 Pro. It gets plenty bright, especially for a budget device, and Xiaomi's software refresh rate handling is quite good.

ARM Mali-G57 MP2:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart uit het middensegment met 2 clusters. Gebaseerd op de Valhall architectuur.
Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Helio G99:
ARM-gebaseerde octa-core SoC met 2x grote ARM Cortex-A76 kernen en 6x kleine ARM Cortex-A55 kernen, die energiezuinig zijn. Dit alles is geklokt op 2,2 GHz. Het heeft een geïntegreerde LTE Cat-13 (4G) modem en een ARM Mali-G57 MP2 grafische kaart. Vergeleken met de vorige Helio G96 is de G99 vervaardigd volgens het nieuwste 6 nm-proces en heeft hij hogere frequenties.

6.67": Er bestaan maar weinig smartphones met een groter scherm.
Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.

78.69%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
