Al met al heeft Samsung met de Galaxy Tab S3 een uitstekende tablet in de aanbieding. Er valt simpelweg weinig op af te dingen als het gaat om vormgeving, prestaties en mogelijkheden. Hij ligt lekker in de hand, het paneel is van een uitstekende kwaliteit en de S-Pen is een erg interessante toevoeging. Tijdens ons gebruik hebben we ook geen enkele keer het idee gehad dat de inmiddels al wat oudere Snapdragon 820 tegen zijn limieten aanzat.

De Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is zeker een verbetering ten opzichte van de Galaxy Tab S2, maar de verbeteringen zijn niet spectaculair genoeg om het fors hogere prijskaartje te verantwoorden, tenzij je nood hebt aan de gratis meegeleverde stylus en/of vaak intensieve 3d-games speelt op je tablet. Anders kan je net zo goed voor minder geld de Tab S2 kopen, die hier en daar nog altijd verkrijgbaar is.

It's much less expensive than a 10.5-inch iPad Pro with cellular data plus an Apple Pencil, but the iOS ecosystem is still more tablet-friendly. Plus, the usage experience is more polished overall with an iPad. You'll be happy with the Galaxy Tab S3 if it's a secondary or even tertiary device, and there are a number of people who can afford that kind of indulgence. If you don't need a stylus, the non-Pro iPad (2017) could serve well too.

Qualcomm Adreno 530:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 die geklokt is aan maximaal 624 MHz. In het begin van 2016 is het een high-end grafische kaart voor Android-gebaseerde smartphones en tablets die zelfs zeer veeleisende games zou moeten aankunnen.
De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).
