As an entry-level laptop, the Packard Bell LJ61 is comfortable to use and is a perfectly acceptable machine for office use and web browsing that won't break the bank. Its widescreen display is an attractive feature, even if the quality isn't quite up to scratch. There are, however, much more solidly built laptops that offer better performance for only a little bit more more cash.

Designed as a laptop for your front room rather than your desktop, the Packard Bell EasyNote LJ61 has got film buffs firmly in its sights. As an entry-level laptop, the Packard Bell LJ61 is comfortable to use and is a perfectly acceptable machine for office use and web browsing that won't break the bank. Its widescreen display is an attractive feature, even if the quality isn't quite up to scratch. Commentaar

ATI Radeon HD 3200: Onboard (gedeeld geheugen) grafische chip (op RS780M chipset) gebaseerd op de HD 2400 chip. Beschikt ook over de UVD video engine om HD video’s te decoderen. Voor de rest ondersteunt de kaast Hybrid CrossfireX (voor versnelling) en PowerXpress (om energie te besparen) in combinatie met een dedicated grafische kaart (van de HD 3000 serie).

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

RM-72: Griffin gebaseerde instapniveau dual core processor. De cores zijn nog gebaseerd op de oude K8 architectuur (geheugen controller is nieuwer).
