MSI has beaten most other OEMs to market with laptops sporting Intel's latest Comet Lake-H processors. After having checked out the Core i5-10300H and Core i9-10980HK, let's see how the Core i7-10750H fits in the lineup.

EN→NL Archive.org versionMSI GP65 Leopard 10Sx’s display has a 144Hz IPS panel (LG LP156WFG-SPB3) with a Full HD resolution, reasonably high maximum brightness, and comfortable viewing angles. Additionally, it covers 94% of sRGB and its backlight doesn’t flicker at all. And thankfully, from the gamer’s perspective, the 144Hz refresh rate is paired with a fast pixel reaction time. What was unexpected, though, was with our Gaming and Web design profile applied, the color accuracy is below 2.0, making it good enough for people, who value the accurate color representation. However, our unit had a reasonable nonuniformity of the luminance in the top right corner of the display, making it inappropriate for Web design.

Archive.org versionLisa Gade reviews the 2020 MSI GP65 Leopard 15.6” gaming laptop with the Intel 10th gen Core i7-10750H 6-core, 45 watt processor and NVIDIA RTX 2070 graphics. It sells for $1499 at Computer Upgrade King, who supplied our review loaner. The Leopard is also available with an RTX 2060 if your budget is lower and in a 17.3” size as the GP75 if you prefer a bigger screen. This gaming PC offers a lot of performance for the money and its fairly light and portable. A 144Hz IPS matte FHD display is standard. It has an ample selection of ports, including 3 USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, mic/headphone jacks, Ethernet and a full size SD card slot.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile:
High-end grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de TU106-chip met 2304 shaders en 8 GB GDDR6-VRAM. In vergelijking met de desktop-variant is de GPU lager geklokt.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

i7-10750H:
Een krachtige hexa-core processor ontworpen voor de dikkere laptops met ruimte voor betere thermiek. De Comet Lake-H-processor is vervaardigd op het third-gen 14 nm Intel-proces en is voorzien van de UHD Graphics 630 iGPU geklokt op 350 MHz tot 1.150 MHz. De CPU-kernen draaien op 2,6 GHz (basiskloksnelheid) met een boost tot 5 GHz en de waarschijnlijke all-core Boost-frequentie is 4,3 GHz. Hyper-Threading ondersteuning is ingeschakeld, waardoor twee threads gelijktijdig kunnen draaien op elke core.
