Though the Inspiron 15 M5030 didn't shine in our benchmarks, we still found it adequate for everyday computing chores such as surfing the web, updating Facebook, and playing casual games. It's not often that a 15-inch notebook is priced as low as $350 and is still viable, with a comfortable (albeit loud) keyboard. The lack of HDMI will turn off some, and this is definitely not a machine for multimedia enthusiasts, but if you're looking for something bigger and more capable than a netbook, the Inspiron 15 M5030 is a good value.

Dell's Inspiron M5030 laptop isn't going to be standing out against the competition in terms of performance or features, but it certainly is affordable. With street pricing around $500, it is roughly $100 cheaper than many Intel based PCs with a similar level of features and performance. The downside is that it is heavier than most of the competition and doesn't have the same level of quality feel.

ATI Radeon HD 4250: Onboard (gedeeld geheugen) grafische kaart in het RS880M chipset met Avivo HD ondersteuning. Technisch gezien een hoger geklokte HD 4200.
Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
