Design and build quality are top-notch, and despite being one of the smallest 14in laptops on the market, there's plenty of performance courtesy of a fast Core i7 CPU, GeForce MX graphics and a spacious 1TB M.2 SSD.

It’s built extremely well, it can be carried around with ease, has good internals, and even has a secondary display which adds a ton of multitasking capabilities. There’s not much to complain about either, just that it’s not fit for gaming or editing long videos. Yes, the price is slightly premium, but you pay for the form factor and the uniqueness of that ScreenPad. The base variant with a Core i5 chip starts at Rs. 79,990 and if your budget permits, you should get the Zenbook 14 UX434. It’s surely one of our favorite laptops of the year, and we’re pretty sure you will be of the same impression once you get your hands on it!

The ZenBook 14 certainly does that. A smart-looking and compact Windows 10 laptop with an interesting selling point in the form of the ScreenPad, ideal for students and lifestyle use. Its display isn’t quite accurate enough to be considered an option for professional creatives however.

It is because of the great build quality, fast hardware, and brilliant screen. However, the largest contributor to that is the innovations ASUS put into this laptop. We are super excited to test unique laptops that are on the bleeding edge of technology. We hope that this is going to encourage more and more manufacturers to start putting more effort into the diversification of the industry.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Opvolger van de MX150 en nog altijd gebaseerd op dezelfde Pascal GP108-chip (vergelijkbaar met de GT 1030 voor desktops) maar met hogere kloksnelheden. Verkrijgbaar in twee versies, een normale 25 Watt-versie en een energiezuinige versie met een TDP van 10 Watt en verminderde prestaties. De 25 Watt-versie biedt o.a. een 21% hogere boost-kloksnelheid dan de oude MX150, met als gevolg een prestatiewienst van 5%.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i7-8565U:
Whiskey Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Kaby Lake, maar geproduceerd in een verder geoptimaliseerd 14nm++ proces). De vier cores zijn geklokt tussen 1.8 en 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading.

14.00": Dit schermformaat wordt vooral gebruikt voor subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles. Voor alle drie types is dit formaat redelijk groot. De grootste verscheidenheid aan subnotebooks wordt vertegenwoordigd in deze klasse.
Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.

1.26 kg: Dit gewicht is typisch voor erg grote tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles met een 11-13 inch schermdiagonaal.

De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
