Here we have the slightly less expensive version of the most well-rounded and powerful Android tablet on the planet. The qualities that allow this model to cost significantly less than its bigger brother are not bothersome to me, and I see no reason, save for one, why a person wouldn’t just go with this TF300 model over the Transformer Prime. That reason is, of course, the flash for the camera – I think it’s safe to say that most people don’t use their tablet as their primary photo and video machine, but if they do, that little LED can make or break a purchase.

But it seems like a placeholder while we wait for the Infinity Prime, with its 1080p high-resolution display. Much like Samsung with its Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) ($249.99, 4 stars), Asus is concentrating on affordability, rather than major spec upgrades. At $379 for the 16GB model, with the fastest processor available, the latest version of Android, and a versatile add-on keyboard dock, the Asus Transformer Pad TF300 is an attractive package. It's certainly among the best non-Apple tablets available today, but we're still on the lookout for an Android tablet that can top the iPad.

Deze grafische kaarten voor notebooks zijn niet bruikbaar voor games. Als ze al games kunnen draaien, dan doen ze dat met grafische afwijkingen en heel lage framesnelheid. Voor gamers zijn deze chips ongeschikt! Kantoor en internet taken zijn, daarentegen, geen probleem voor deze GPUs.

Tegra 3: High-end SoC voor tablets en grote smartphones die gebruik maakt van 4 ARM Cortex A9 Cores en een energiebesparende extra core. Verder beschikt de Tegra 3 over een GeForce LP GPU die gebaseerd is op de oude GeForce 7.

Het kleine scherm heeft verder het voordeel dat het weinig stroom behoeft wat de batterijlooptijd vergroot en daardoor ook de mobiliteit. Het nadeel is dat het lezen van tekst erg vermoeiend is aan de ogen. Hoge resoluties kunnen nauwelijks gebruikt worden.
