In terms of professional-level apps, that's going to depend on what kind of workload you're taxing the system with. The new 15" MacBook Pro is priced at Rs. 1,09,900, Rs. 1,19,000 and Rs. 1,29,900 forthe 2.4Ghz, 2.53GHz and 2.66GHz respectively. The pricing is not what you would call competitive and as usual spec for spec the MacBook Pros don't hold up the competition. It's not terribly good value for money, especially when you consider that Apple short changes you for things like an extra USB port or providing something like the Apple Remote in the package. You would also need to get separate adaptors for things such aVGAorHDMI out, something that most notebooks these days have on-board. Then there are also otherthings such as support for Blu-ray drives or having bigger hard drives on board. 250GB hard drive on a notebook costing more than Rs. 1 lakh is just being miserly.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M: De nVidia Geforce GT 330M is de opvolger van de GT 230M en is volgens de uitgelekte technische specificaties een hoger geklokte GT 240M (maar nog steeds met het stroomverbruik van een GT 230M , zoals de naam suggereert).

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

520M: De Core i5-520M heeft slechts 3MB L3 Cache (vergeleken met de i7-640M) en heeft een kloksnelheid tussen de 2,4 en 2,93 GHz (Turbo Mode). Met Hyperthreading kunnen er 4 threads gelijktijdig uitgevoerd worden. Een geïntegreerde videokaart (GMA HD 3150) en een DDR3 geheugen controller zitten bij in processor verwerkt.

15.4": 15 inch scherm varianten zijn de norm en worden voor meer dan de helft van alle notebooks gebruikt. De reden waarom zoveel mensen schermen kiezen van een gemiddeld formaat, is dat deze maat niet vermoeiend voor de ogen is, niet al te veel stroom verbruikt en dat de laptops redelijk compact blijven.
