EN→NL Archive.org versionIdeal only for people who are looking for a full-size laptop, but don't want to spend any more money than is absolutely necessary, the Toshiba Satellite L755-5244 is ultimately an okay machine—and nothing more than that. If you want a better system all around, go for the Lenovo IdeaPad V570-1066A9U. If longer battery life is what matters, the HP Pavilion dv6-6013cl fits the bill. If you don't care about those things and want to save money, the L755-5244 will do the trick. It just won't do much of anything else spectacular to go along with it.

It has just the right amount of speed and performance for the typical student or home user, it doesn’t break the budget and it’s design is decent though not stunning. Is the L755 built as well as a business laptop or MacBook Pro? No, but it also costs half as much. You can spend $1,000 and get a nicer laptop than the Satellite L755, but will it be twice as good as the $499 you can pay for this on Amazon.com? Not likely, so if the Satellite L755 fits your needs in a laptop, meaning you don’t need it to do any intense 3D gaming and you don’t need something that’s extremely portable and easy to carry, the Satellite L755 is it.

Toshiba: Toshiba Corporation is een Japans conglomeraat of technologiegroep. Het bedrijf werd opgericht in 1939 en in 1978 werd Toshiba de officiële bedrijfsnaam. De producten en diensten van het bedrijf omvatten energie, industriële en sociale infrastructuursystemen, liften en roltrappen, elektronische componenten, halfgeleiders, harde schijven, printers, batterijen, verlichting, logistiek en informatietechnologie. Toshiba was een van de grootste fabrikanten van personal computers, consumentenelektronica, huishoudelijke apparaten en medische apparatuur.
De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).
NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M:
Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics:
Intel HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge): Geïntegreerde grafische kaart van de Sandy Bridge Pentium en Celeron processoren. Vergelijkbaar met de desktop HD Graphics 2000 en niet familie van de oudere Arrandal geïntegreerde grafische kaart met dezelfde naam.
Intel HD Graphics 3000: Aankomende (1ste kwartaal 2011) geïntegreerde grafische kaart van de Intel Sandy Bridge processoren (Core ix-2xxx). De 3000 / 200 is de snellere, intern GT2 genaamde, versie met 12 Execution Units (EU's).

Intel Core i5:
2410M: Dual-core processor gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur met een geïntegreerde videokaart en dual-channel DDR3 geheugen controller. De CPU is geklokt op 2,3 GHz (Turbo Boost 2,6-2,9 GHz) en de GPU op 650 (1200MHz Turbo).
2430M: Dual-core processor gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur met een geïntegreerde grafische chip en dual-channel DDR3 geheugencontroller. De CPU is geklokt op 2.4 GHz (Turbo Boost 2.7-3.0 GHz) en de GPU op 650 MHz (1200 MHz Turbo Boost).
Intel Pentium:
B940: Dual-core processor gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur met een geïntegreerde grafische chip en dual-channel DDR3 geheugencontroller. Door de Pentium-merkgeving zijn vele Sandy Bridge functies gedeactiveerd.
Intel Core i3:
2330M: Dual-core processor gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge-architectuur met een geïntegreerde grafische chip en dual-channel DDR3-geheugencontroller. De CPU is geklokt op 2.2 GHz en beschikt enkel voor de grafische kaart over Turbo Boost 2.0 (650/1100 MHz).
2350M: Dual-core processor gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur met een geïntegreerde grafische chip en dual-channel DDR3 geheugencontroller. De CPU is geklokt op 2.3 GHz en heeft Turbo Boost 2.0 enkel voor de grafische chipset.
Intel Core i7:
2670QM: Snelle quad-core processor op 2.2-3.1 GHz geklokt en gebaseerd op de Sandy Bridge architectuur met geïntegreerde grafische chip en dual-channel DDR3 geheugencontroller.
