Voor werk en plezier. De succesvolle 12.5 inch ThinkPad Yoga verschijnt nu als een 14 inch model met dedicated GeForce grafische kaart. Lenovo heeft deze convertible ontworpen zodat hij zich zowel thuis als op kantoor thuisvoelt. Kan dit veelzijdige apparaat die oude ThinkPad of de oude familiecomputer vervangen?

Everything from the screen, to the build quality and Lenovo's usual stellar inputs are fantastic, but this machine could potentially be a lemon. Our unit was defective and, considering that there are plenty of users in the wild who have reported their own broken notebooks, this cannot be ignored.

We found the Yoga 14’s 4.3 pound weight made it unwieldy in tablet mode, but ultimately being able to transform to a tablet is more of a bonus than anything. We gave the Yoga 14 extra points for addressing a common complaint amongst convertible notebooks by using a raiseable tray to make the keyboard a flush surface in tablet mode.

If you need the flexibility of a convertible-hybrid system, switching from laptop to tablet and back, then it may be worthwhile for the multimode hinge alone. EN→NL Archive.org versionI can easily recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 if you're in the market for a robustly built, yet not terribly heavy or bulky Ultrabook with a larger than average display and the versatile 360 degree multi-mode hinge. Of course, if you need the digital pen, this isn't the model for you, and the ThinkPad Yoga 12.5" model or Microsoft Surface Pro 3 are worth a look as long as you don't mind downsizing.

NVIDIA GeForce 840M:
Mid-range grafische kaart van de GeForce 800M-serie gebaseerd op de Maxwell-architectuur.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

4210U: Haswell-gebaseerde ULV dual-core processor geklokt aan 1.7 GHz met ondersteuning voor Turbo Boost tot en met 2.7 GHz. Beschikt over een geïntegreerde HD Graphics 4400 en een dual-channel DDR3-geheugencontroller.

Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld.
